To be fair it looks like most of those comments were written by homophobic morons. I think most of us are basing are comments on the fact that Affleck isn't a very good actor.. oh and daredevil *shudders* Still I'll give the guy a chance and hope it turns out well.
Yeah heath was a cracking joker he really did a great job doing it his own way but, quite simply, nobody can do crazy, like Jack - end of this story. And all my instincts say we will see nothing but another Daredevil like performance from Affleck - which is going to be gutting and really potentially ruin a good movie, or at least marr it significantly. On a total other and very irrelevant note, I actually think Matt Damon is a cracking, underrated actor.
Not sure what the homophobic comment is about. As for Jack Nicholson, not a fan of his joker, he just played the same character as he always does and it was more silly than menacing. Like most people I watched Ledger with low expectations. Same might apply here, maybe the guy's making the movie have saw something we haven't.
This is horrid news, obviously they want Superman to be the main character in the upcoming film, such a shame i can't stand that hollywood lackey.
Anyone saw The Town and Argos? I personally don't rate him as an actor but I've still to watch those two and they are supposed be his best work. It’s really not that hard a character anyway, you play a tortured millionaire and then a stuntman shares the Batman role. Even the voice will like be messed with in post production. It’s hard for just the actors to mess up the Batman character, the problems with Kilmer and Clooney was just as much the due to Joel Schumacher as it was the actors.
I've actually never watched a movie with Ben Aflack in it. So I can't say, but I do think he needs some more upper body mass and muscle.
Everybody's talking about Ben Affleck while what I wonder is what the heck makes someone think Batman could ever fight against Superman. I really don't get it!. Superman can crush him in seconds!. It will be a ****ty movie.
Lets not jump to conclusions just yet. You guys are forgetting that he has 2 Oscars on his resume. Those don't get handed out to just anyone. Sure he has been in some horrible movies, but he's also been in some great ones too. I remember when Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker and the sh!t storm that followed because just about everyone said it was a bad casting decision and he'd be horrible for the role, blah blah. Look how that turned out. I'm going to hold judgement until after I see the movie.
They aren't fighting, it's a team up movie. Also, Batman had defeated Superman before. Just not the way you'd think.
