Could a new Tekken outing be joining the likes of Mortal Kombat and Injustice? Read more at http://www.siliconera.com/2013/11/0...der-pc-release-via-steam/#Ux3xLccBQBRtuwAU.99
I really don't think they will bother to port Tekken on PC. I would be shocked if Mortal Kombat sold more than 2000-3000 copies on PC.
Considering Boon himself said sales for MK on PC were way way above expectations I'm not so sure why you're so convinced of the fact.
Way above expectations does not say much in itself. How much are we talking about ? I think I've been extremely generous when I was talking about 3000 copies.
I hope it sells as much as possible but I'm not convinced the fighting genre is all that relevant on PC. I only ask to be proven wrong though. I remember liking Tekken 3 on PS1.
No disrespect man but the fighting genre has seen a bit of a renaissance on the PC platform in recent years and this is just another valid indication that there is money to be made when distributing them via Steam. Injustice, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, Skullgirls, Street Fighter X Tekken, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, BlazBlue Calamity Trigger and The King of Fighters XIII: Steam Edition to name but a few. To say most if not all would only sell a mere 3000 copies given Steam sales and a growing user base for PC fighting games is just a bit well, odd.
I look at fighting games as console only just because of 2player mode being much easier to do on a console.
Or you can look it as online mp. Personally I can't wait for this, Tekken 5-6 was cool and MKKE on pc is cool too.
Eh? Plug two controllers into the PC vs Plug two controllers into a console. Not sure how one is somehow easier than the other, par the fact PC's support more peripherals.
The more the better. I wonder if the free to play PSN game Tekken Revolution would be the game they port?
Well snk was kinda surprised with the kof xiii steam edition sales, they even are considering release future titles on steam. So it wont surprise me if tekken would hit steam.
