Totally BS from AMD side. They just like hold customers, to keep waiting on their product, not buy other.
Fury X was "unpolished" as well as Ryzen is, and most of thier products are.
ohh dear.. I don't buy this marketing BS.

I don't really count having to bake your card to keep using it as a positive tbh and certainly not as part of 5yrs of use. How long did it last before it broke the first time? That's actually how long it lasted you.

I baked my card because Sapphire did a sh*tty job soldering. I know two people with even older cards from Sapphire and other brands that still work fine. Hell, my backup card is a GeForce 7900GT which is ten years old. The only thing I need to do is to make sure that I get a card with a proper warranty.

Mine was 1st batch of reference ones and soon after I modded hell out of it.
Wife of my cousin is still playing on it like it was new and no problems.
But I really tend to do overkill cooling stuff.

Probably due to too many pre-orders for Frontier...
From cash flow, Most important release for AMD is Ryzen, and that is almost complete.
2nd most important release are mobile Ryzen+Vega APUs, and that is behind corner.

Because there AMD has so small share, that they can have largest gains.
As for Ryzen, it is selling reasonably well.
But Raven Ridge can actually tear intel a new one. (There is quite scary performance/watt comparison graph.)

For those reasons I do not mind that much late RX Vega release. And because I intend to skip it.
