We have a review on the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost OC WindForce 2X, the OC indicates a factory tweak and the Windforce is hinting at a silent yet powerful two fan cooling solution. The produc... Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost OC WindForce 2X tested
Whoops a 580 who'd a thunk it, i'd recommend using firestrike extreme as one of your benchies, everyone and their Gran uses the regular firestrike and there's not enough extreme scores on the web. How is the 780 looking, Hilbert, does it OC nicely, beat a Titan without much sweat? I bet you've three of em' lying around at least. But thanks for review, the bioshock bench is very helpful.
Does the VRAM on the new windforce cooler have any kind of protection? My artifacting 460 was WF and the VRAM was exposed with no thermal pad or whatever they usually put.
Great review as always, just a couple of ideas. Any chance to include FCAT tests on a game that is not a part of AMD bundle to make it a bit more fair play? I know that there is very little games with the good ol The way it's meant to be played but to be honest a game like bioshock (great game-poor graphics in a dx11 world) should not be included imho. How about Metro? Also it would be nice to see firestrike benches. anyway thanks Hilbert
Yes, Metro LL FCATs are being included in 'upcoming' reviews. Firestrike results are being gathered and will be included with future reviews. We had some weird anomalies with 3DMark hence we excluded the results. The new 3DMark update from 2 weeks ago however fixed that.
As if Geforce GTX for a 650 wasn't bad enough it is now GEFORCE GTX TI BOOST OC WINDFORCE, blah blah, seriously. It's a friggin 650. If you really need more power get a 660 or 670. It used to be the GTX was reserved for the high end and never associated with a 640 or 650 series.
Lol the 650ti boost is a 650 in name only. It is much closer to a 660 that a 650ti. I thought this was common knowledge in this forum?
