I had ATI for 5 years in raw between 2007-2012, very few driver issues, some games worked worse than expected some better, this ain't their fault(maybe at times it does but not always), the card i owned were 3850 4850 and 5850, all of them costed not that much but gave great value for the money.

But, in 2012 i went for the GTX 680 soon after it got released, and i most say nVidia drivers feels way better, nVidia inspector, the ez way to customize profiles and apply additional tweaks is a good bonus, only grif with nvidia and it ALWAYS was their main problem- Price(effects AMD but they price is always lower, or most of the time).

I really think this is a good move for AMD. Their cpu's are in the toilet and their GPU's are doing very well. I was torn between the AMD 7970 and my current gtx 670. What sold me on the nvidia was my frustration with AMD drivers on linux. I feel jipped without that extra gig of vram though, it actually matters with several game mods lol

I got Assassins creed 3 and Borderlands 2 for free with my 680. 1 or 2 popular games bundled with a card is pretty common ya know. I remember when Farcry first came out, it was bundled with the NV i got. I'm sure NV will have some other popular game to bundle, it's rarely a "crappy" game, usually it's just whatever is popular or anticpated. Wish consoles would bundle games like that like they used to, not just specific ones years after consoles release.
*edit: oops i meant to quote the guy you quoted but whateva

Thats why i moved up from GTX580 to 7970Ghz, console games will be developed on AMD hardware which is basically a PC, im sure that on PC side AMD GPUs will have advantage.
And probably Physx will die and be replaced by DirectCompute

Nvidia is so desperate that they announced PhysX for PS4 (aka AMD hardware) but they need people to actually use it.

Anyways - having the opportunity to get a major title like BF4 with a video card purchase is just a win win for the consumer. I think all of the non fan boys here will agree on that.

*edited so it doesn't look like I'm calling Hallryu a troll.. lol

I remember good old times when I was proud 3DFx Voodoo 1, 2 & 3 owner. Games powered by Glide API (especially in Voodoo 1 & 2 era) were more supperior than those games who were runing on early versions of DirectX. Many of us 3DFx fans were blindly devoted to 3DFx, like we were in some kind of sect: 3DFx forever! But many of us old geeks remember shocking downfall of 3DFx after Voodoo 4 & 5 series release because of their bad business decisions. NVidia ate them like their never existed...

So, never say never guys, never say never...

well, amd seems to be on rampage, making impressive moves everywhere, consoles, games bundle, let's see how these opportunities will translate into better gpus and better driver support, we've stuck so hard on these beta.

i have mates even laughing with latest drivers, minor improvements, i believe they shouldn't support game developers more from themselves at the moment.

compare that to the games I got with my hd7950:

    Crysis 3
    Far Cry 3
    Bioshock: Infinite
    Hitman: Absolution
    Sleeping Dogs

It's clear to see which bundle is better :)

Even if you already have them, you can easily sell those codes for $20/ea. That's $100 back in that persons pocket. :nerd:

Yeap i know what you mean, I still have my Voodoo 2 up in my attic along with my 2D millenium Matrox card that i used to SLI it with.

Only reason i kept it is because it was the first SLI card ever.:)
