I had some issues all of a sudden at the time the update was installed with Logitech and Corsair drivers. These were not changed at all, but refused to work properly. I got the system back working. I now assume this update may have been the cause.

One question. If Microsoft recomment uninstalling this update then why make it in the first place?

People with Kaspersky and a Brazillian banking software had that issue, no need to remove it otherwise.

Only one little point with that piece of advice from Micro$haft: I don't bother with restore points, as they take up far too much space on my HD. ;)
Went through my usual Update Tuesday routine, but so far I've had no probs, even after uninstalling the offending update.

Are you suggesting MS should know each and every possible combinations of software & hardware ever existed on Earth?

What I'm trying to say is the update probably passed internal tests so it was deemed safe to be distributed via Windows Update, and that it was a necessary security update, but MS couldn't have known all possible cases that may make certain software & hardware don't work properly after the update is installed so this sort of thing kinda happens from time to time.

    ^This.

If it's already installed and you have no issues then leave it alone.

I've had a couple of BSOD pop up,I had it installed and removed it.

Guess they will come up with something else,in its place.

I've had no problems and install windows updates twice a day every day to stay up to date with the latest virus definition files for Windows Security Essentials. Glad I am one of the lucky ones to not encounter this problem staying up to date with the latest Windows patches for Windows 7.
