    Other thread got deleted(?) and account doesn't seem to work anymore either. So here's a repost of it if anyone would like to help.

    My 7870 is clocked at 1200/1450. At what point would it get near 7950 performance levels? The following scores are using the demo version of 3dmark11, not sure if that matters or not. Thanks for any help :)

    @1200/1450
    graphics: 8582
    physics: 9481
    combined: 8970

    @1230/1450
    graphics:8748
    physics: 9487
    combined: 9051

    That's about on par with a 7950 @1000mhz. Just for comparison, my oced 7950 can get almost 11k graphics score in 3DMark11. Your old account should work too, check here

    np, you have a good performer there. good physics score btw, better than mine, what clock are you running on that 970?

    Here's a screenshot from when I ran 1200/1500 (wanted to beat 10k)

    My 970 is clocked at 4.4ghz or 4425 to be exact and 1.344v. I love it to death and wow nice score there. Is 1200/1500 a 24/7 clock for a 7950 or just for benching purposes?

    my 24/7 clock is 1150/1500. for benching I've gone over 1235/1550, but had to use quite a bit of volts to achieve that. still, 1150/1500 is great imo, it's just so much faster than a stock 800/1250 7950 :) There's some guru's on here who get over 11.5k graphics score in 3DMark11. I can't quite do that (my vram only goes up to 1550)

    I see, 1225/1450 at 1.237v is my personal limit on my 7870. Going above even to 1230/1450 requires a jump to 1.260v and it's not worth it in my opinion.
