I've been thinking about upgrading my video card from a gtx 580 to gtx 680. I game at 1080p resolution. I held off from upgrading before because of gtx 780 rumors, but now it looks like gtx 780 won't release until late this year.

    Here are my specs:
    i7-875k @ 2.93
    8GB Ram
    Sound Blaster Zx
    Evga gtx 580sc
    64 GB SSD
    1 TB HD
    Asus 1080p monitor

    Is it worth upgrading?

Overclock your CPU and RAM first.

^this. (well oc ram isnt a must).

had to lower a few settings recently with farcry3 and tomb raider but my 580 is still doing ok.

p.s @tk ooh a 40% increase would be sweet. just have resisted this long..can hold out some more :)

thats a rough estimate based on my 680 clocks, you could also end up getting a beat 680 that doesnt oc too good
