I'm adding a tooltip on the sliders showing their 1 to 9 values and an infobox at the bottom that tells what it does plus the value parsed to the injection.
Will release a new build later this night when I'm done.
I should also be able to reach adding a save and reset button.

I will get in touch with the developers of SMAA, could be nice if we could have an SMAA/FXAA switch (use what you prefer) and add the other shaders on top of both.

I like the tool, I also prefer SMAA over FXAA do to how FXAA mess text up, but last time I tested SMAA I got a bigger hit in performance from usa SMAA then use Nvidia CP/In game AA

    Tested in Witcher.
    1080p
Ingame AAx4 with Vsync no noticable performance hit very lil jagges.

FXAA with vsync and in game AA disabled I get huge performance hits drops to like mid 30's when looking at characters, for a very little difference between it on and off.

as Far as FXAA and SMAA go on my pc and gpu I get way better performance with Ingame AA and nvidia CP AA then I do with either FXAA or SMAA.

they only exception is Pcsx2 and it GSDX plugins built in FXAA which has minimal performance hit compared to AA.

Which FXAA version is that with?
I drop max 10fps when using every shader included with the tool.

that was with your this tool posted in the first page.

SMAA has the same huge performance hits. the only FXAA so far I used that didnt have huge performance hits is the one implemented int GDSX for pcsx2.

I will post Screen shots with Vysnc on and off AAx4 vs FXAA.

Tool2.0 was used in its default form for FXAA, but for augment sake I could use 2.6 or the manual injectors and still have same out come. maybe its the 450gts that just cant coup with SMAA or FXAA but AA x4 give way better performance

Fraps keeps taking the SS and showing 1 FPS, but it say 79 ingame, if anyone know how to else i can get SS showing the frame rate let me know. Frap also take like 2 seconds to take this SS where as there other SS i took where instant in comparisons

This looks cool. I mainly play BF3

    It this

    (a) Worth using over the in game FXAA?

    (b) Going to cause PB issues?

    (a) Depends, for AoC and Skyrim the injected FXAA looks better with some tweaking, and performs better too.

    (b) I quote from the included readme:
That is about the risk you have with it.
I had no problems playing online and even promoting it on the game forums, but people think different.

thanks alot for all your work, great tool! hopefully you'll be able to merge SMAA with your FXAA tool. personally i prefer SMAA because it is easy to use for DX11, only drawback with SMAA thus far is i cant use evga precision OSD ....

and whats these performance issues guys? i'm confused. i get virually no loss of performance with SMAA or FXAA...

Beware Injectors some games UI or Menus also get the FXAA treatment which in somce cases is pretty bad

Which is why it is called post processing.
Note that the sharpening shaders are used to counter blur on UI and text.

Quite a great tool, thanks alot for this! If we could use it for DX10/11 games it'd be the perfect AA solution I guess :)

i'm wondering why it dosen't wok for DX10/11. SMAA works fine with DX11? i'm hoping the devs can add SMAA to this FXAA tool, that would be the ultimate.

Sure. He wrote the application in Visual Studio .NET and likely based his project on version 4 of the framework.

You can acquire the framework yourself via Windows Update or Microsoft's website.
