Anyone seen this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-067-AC Seems Acer is jumping on the 27" G-Sync bandwagon!
Wonder if it's the same 8-bit panel that is in the Asus PG278Q. That is the only panel that will do. But yer I agree Tj 1080p on a 27". Horrible.
Ooh! A mates got his ASUS 27" arriving this Tuesday so we'll see how big those pixels are!! The Acer is significantly cheaper though and they also do a 28" G-Sync as well, so even bigger pixels then!
Same price as the asus 24in. Dying to try out 1 of these monitors with g sync tech. Maybe ill do a drunken purchase in the near future.
Until we start seeing 2560 x 1440 10 bit IPS panels with g sync the asus rog swift will rule supreme at the top. 367 gbp is like 610 usd. It's not even much cheaper than the asus rog swift and the asus is a way better monitor.
Never found it to be as big a deal as people seem to make over this. I agree some games can look rougher than others depending on the AA settings but on the whole it's not a massive problem. I like to play on a bigger screen and not having to worry about the required horse power for 1440p. I'd rather a 27" 1080p display with games running native than a 27"1440p screen running at 1080p. Lower resolutions "blown up" always looked so much worse on flat panels. You mean the Asus ROG Swift which costs nearly twice as much at just shy £700 :3eyes: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-070-AS
well i did a currency conversion of the acer and then compared that to US price so i dunno. the acer was 610 usd converted from gbp and the asus rog is like 700 usd If it's half the price I guess it's a good choice for poorer people.
I have my 23.8?" lcd ~ 80cm away, if you have your 27" further then yeah it wont be such a issue.. But at this close range you can almost see each pixel
Don't you find sitting very close to a larger 27"+ monitor makes it hard to see the whole monitor, have to turn your head just to see everything. I had to put the 30" dell u3014 further back when i upgraded from a 22 inch monitor. It was so much bigger I literally had to move my head to see the ends compared to the 22 incher.
The dilemma im in is I've got a rly nice dell u3014. I really want to try g sync but none of the g sync monitors has a panel as beautiful as the 2560x1600 ips panel on the dell u3014. Colors are vibrant and just the whole screen looks rly nice. Is it worth givin that up for a g sync monitor?
i know that but my next gpu will be(most likely) the titan 2 or whatever nvidia releases first on the gm210 chip. Building an 8 core x99 system ASAP. And getting a gm210 GPU ASAP soon as its released. And I was interested in g sync. But I want g sync and a 10 bit ips panel in qhd. Is there any g sync enabled 2560x1440/1600 10 bit ips panel monitor? What's the closest thing we got to it in g sync?
Well 10-bit means a Photo Editing screen 99% of the time, and they wont be geared with Gaming features. I'm using the EIZO CX240 myself purely because i'm very very picky about my display. I want it to be 100% Uniform, Great Colors, No Dead Pixels and ontop of that a superior warranty. (this one also has no IPS Glow which is seen on most 400 Euro range IPS Displays) I wouldn't want to trade this for anything else no matter how much better it is for Gaming.
I`m sitting at 50cm away from my screen,so a 24 inch monitor is the best...27 too much, even for a Asus swift.
