Gentlemen, I spent money And the sube for old time sake It's a 2008 Corvette Edit: Updated photo links since I was using photobucket.
Here ya go It's pretty darn clean! I'm so happy with it. It has Borla S-type exhaust on it. It's sad that GM put such quiet exhaust on these things from the factory because it's such an experience to hear real exhaust on it. Edit: Updated picture link
GM did that because the demographic that buys the most Corvettes just like to cruise around at 50mph. They don't want to upset the wife :nerd: One of my coworkers has a red one, same year with the t-top roof. He was telling me that he thought about putting a different exhaust on it but decided not to because his buddy said it would sound terrible. I tried explaining to him that a free to the atmosphere LS3 is one of the best sounding engines around, and he should absolutely do it. "Nah man, it's just a base Corvette, not a Z06. It won't sound good". Ok bro lol Where in Michigan are you at btw? I'm up there often, maybe I'll run into you lmao. Glad to see you are a stick shift guy as well.
I had one of those in 2009, one of the first 500 EsseEsse sold. Great car but INSANELY hard coils, just ridiculous. That's the reason I sold it after 2 years.
Ouch, lol. He's definitely missing out. I'm sure the Z06/LS7 sounds a touch better, but damn... the LS3 is niiice. I'm in Ann Arbor, lol. Probably one of very very few.
Congrats! Looks like my old one black and stick. Now just add a supercharger. Oh and for your buddy who thinks the LS3 doesn't sound good...show him these clips. Here was my old one with just headers...yeah it sounds horrible LMAO okay! Here's how it sounded adding some boost into that engine. Having fun against a CBR1000RR. Afterwards he goes "I have never lost to a Vette on this bike."
Thanks dude! Lol, I think one of my favorite parts of the sound is when you have your foot off the gas and it's just snarling and popping like an angry beast. @IcE, you ought to tell your buddy to look on youtube. There's tons of videos of corvettes with modded exhaust. Of course, they don't do them justice in real life, but you can still get the idea.
I could be wrong but that looks like a 600RR-ABS....But your Vette would still beat a liter bike haha.
That's a 1000rr right there but he didn't know how to shift for crap lol! The Corvette still should blow it out of the water.
Yeah, the suspension is hard as a rock. It really sucks on my roads. It really shines when you get a smooth curvy road though. The rest of the time and you get your ass beat, lol. I'm probably going to change out the shocks for coilovers so I can adjust the damping rate on the fly. Worst sounding engine ever! Lmao. Honestly he probably will never do it anyway. He's in his 50's and I hate to say, a typical Vette owner. Not interested in performance, just the look haha
#1 comment I get, haha. I'm used to it. I'm sure I confuse a lot of people when they see a 6 foot tall man get out of it.
Nah... that's what it does to people when i get out of my car. Or, much more interestingly, when I (at about 6' flat) and a friend of mine (about 6'6) get out of my car. Smart Car Lifestyle. haha
Went to check out some exotics the other day. Going to check a few more out this week. Here's some neat McLaren's. P1, 720S, 650S with the 675LT and some 570S in the background with my GT-R.
