In this review we test the new Intel series 730 SSD. The 730 series release should be interesting for consumers as it is a product that uses the server SSD DNA from Intel, and that means reliability, ...

    Tnx for the review Hilbert...

Not much improvement over my almost 2 years old Intel 520 120GB but it's good to see SSD prices per GB are going down + additional (but small and hardly noticable in real-life) speed boost over previous SSD generations.

Now just to wait maybe year or so for SSD prices go down (I hope so) for about 1/3 and I'll kick out every HDD from my rigs except those used for storage purposes (pics and videos of kids etc.), 480GB SSD is more than enough for my needs, OS, needed programs and few games.

Excellent review. Didnt expect an SSD to be so thoroughly tested here. You threw every bench in the book at this thing Hilbert :D. Nice to see Intels competitive pricing on these.

Does the EU get a slightly different version of this SSD?

This. My 512 GB Vertex 3 was about £310, 18 months ago.
