    hi rut503,,

Well I really want to tell you something, My laptopn is a Dell Inspiron 15R and my GPU is same as that of yours i.e Radeon HD 550V. .

AND if you take a bit of time to study about this GPU you will find that this is actually a HD 4650 just Downclocked to keep the heat low and renamed to 550V . .

    Read this : http://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Mobility-Radeon-HD-550v.31270.0.html

So do not worry at all there is no difference in the performance or any feature if your card is being detected as HD 4650, as because when the Laptop manufacturer provides you the driver for your GPU they edit the .inf and rename the HD 4650 to 550.. you can do that your self also. . its not a big deal..

because what matters is the GPU and the Driver files.. you can skip the name :)

I modified the inf to let my 550v detect as HD 7970.. but it doesn't makes my GPU a 7970 :D :)

EDIT: and ya .. I am running my HD 550v overclocked and the performance is really impressive being a Mobility card.. 43 FPS average in Battle Field 3 Highest Quality ;) with my current modded Driver 12.10 WHQL :)

Hi, have a little problem with "Windows 7 Experience Index - could not measure video playback performance" (Asus M51Ta ATI Mobility HD 3650).

:p No use to measure Experience Index,, that does not help in any way.

Hmm personally I like Rivatuner... as because it gives a vast range to overclock.

But currently i am using AMD GPU Clock tool where I have made shortcuts of the application, whenever the game runs I increase the GPU Core/Mem clocks with a click and when i quit the game i decrease the GPU clocks with another click.

Well, MSI Afterburner is also good and it has a feature to automatically increase and decrease clocks when playing and not playing.

You can also try the preview version of Radeon Pro which has an Overdrive feature just like CCC and it works automatically with your desired clock values :)

Anyone can do a Video Tutorial?

I install the CCC, but I take this error:

Catalyst Contro Center cannot be started.
There are currently no settings that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center

*I installed all apps with 64 in the final of the folder name.

Ys,, you can go up to where you get stable performance.. take care about the GPU Heat, and when when you find artifacts, then dont overclock any more..

Well different games have different wants,, some games like Crysis 2 depends more on Core clock speed whereas Darksiders 2 depends more upon MEM speed.

and the .rar file contains two dll files which were previously included in the Driver list, these files helps in the overclocking process by any overclocking software.

Did you directly install the 12.10 CCC or followed the steps that i have mentioned..

1st install 12.6 WHQL CCC, then kill processes and then install the new CCC (only the core static)

read the main post once again and follow the steps..

uninstall the ccc from control panel and try again.
