you have a raid configuration? Just dont even THINK about installing the nvidia storage drivers and you will be fine.
Not sure this is the correct place but, I installed the Win7 64 bit and installed the 181.20 far cry 2 when having bloom on was unplayable, turning it off worked wonders. Then after a 5-10 min of gaming the display driver has stopped working error appeared. I remember vista doing the same thing - and sorta wating for a driver that will keep working in games. I only tried that one game. Anyone else experienced this ?
I was hearing all over the net about what you say but when in windows vista I haven't got a single issue with nvidia storage drivers ever so I am pretty sure its something people do wrong and not the drivers. (I am not talkning about windows 7)
Didn’t see these softs on the list so I thought I’d add them for working on x86. Works with x86: 7-Zip F-Prot anti-virus Malwarebytes a-squared Spybot – Search & Destroy ImgBurn Foxit Reader VistaCodecs 5.0.9 Hardware Monitor
Works in win7 64bit Programs: (music production) Cakewalk Sonar 8 producer edition Native Instruments Kontakt 3 reFX Nexus (other) mIRC 6.35 (get an error when exiting, but that is the only problem) cuteFTP 8.2 Games: Audiosurf
I think that Fix-It Utilities 9 Pro doesn't work in 64-bit version of Windows 7. I didn't try the program in 32-bit version of Windows 7.
Logitech's GamePanel Software 3.01.180 Vista x64 for their G15 Gaming Keyboard works with W7 x64 Ult. Macro scripts and all.
Thread suggestion: Since almost everything works in Se7en just like any flavor of Vista, why not put the WORKING: titles inside code like this: (using the Code: [code] command) Code: Programs * AVG Internet Security Avast Internet Security Adobe Reader 9 Windows Media Center Windows Media Player Windows Live 8/BETA 3Ds Max Adobe Audition 3 Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 Adobe Photoshop CS4 CCleaner FileZilla Yahoo Widgets RivaTuner v2.22 Spybot - Search & Destroy Kaspersky Antivirus 8 8.0.0.1015 (win 7 beta version) Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 (8.0.506) Combined Community Codec Pack Driver Sweeper 7-Zip Cakewalk Sonar 8 producer edition Native Instruments Kontakt 3 reFX Nexus F-Prot anti-virus Malwarebytes A-squared Spybot – Search & Destroy ImgBurn Foxit Reader VistaCodecs 5.0.9 Hardware Monitor Flashget 1.9.6 Logitech G-series Key Profiler Logitech setpoint Nero 9 Bit Torrent Bit Lord uTorrent Firefox 3.0 Firefox 3.0.5 ATF Cleaner Autoruns BHODaemon CoreTemp HDDLife Pro HDTune Thunderbird (2.0.0.16) HijackThis ATI Catalyst™ Beta Driver Package ATI CCC 8.11 Vista64 Procmon Creative Mediasource 5 RAS Plus UltraVNC (1.51) Advanced System Care 3 Pro CircleDock (.92 A8) Microsoft Office 12 Google Earth WorldWide Telescope Virtual Earth Asus Software Suite Asus AI Booster Sony E.r.i.c.s.s.o.n Software Suit VLC Player CPUz GPUz Orthos StressPrime SuperPi wPrime MaxPi AOD (AMD OverDrive) OCCT Everest Ultimate Logitech SetPoint 4.70 (64bit) Speedfan 4.3 DamnNFO Viewer K-lite 445 eVGA Precision 1.4.0 Power iso 4.2 Everest ultimate 4.6 Winrar 3.71 Winamp 5.54 Nod32 SS 3.0.667 NForce 15.23 Nvidia 181.20 Nvidia 181.22 Nvidia WDDM 1.1 Driver PhysX 9.09 AMD Fusion For Gaming 1.0 Logitech Setpoint 4.70 Xfire Logitech's GamePanel Software 3.01.180(x86) Virtual Clone Drive Itunes A4 TECH camera CuteFTP 8.2 Driver Cleaner.net 3.2 Asus Xonar Drivers and Control panel Games * Crysis 32bit Crysis Warhead 32/64bit Crysis Wars 32/64bit Call Of Duty 4 F.E.A.R Devil May Cry 4 Devil May Cry 3 CMR DIRT Command and Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath Left 4 Dead Audiosurf Unreal Tournament 3 Command and conquer Generals\Zero Hour Command and conquer 3 Kanes Wrath Tomb Raider - Underworld Eve Online World of Warcraft Brothers in Arms - Hell's Highway Mirrors Edge World of Goo UT 2004 Exodus from the Earth Silent Hill 5 Age of Conan Red Alert 3 Mass Effect Call Of Duty (World At War) Super Mario Forever DeadSpace Rise of the Argonauts PES 2009 GRID NFS Undercover Test Drive Unlimited Prince Of Persia And then leave the programs/games that are NOT WORKING out and easy to see. Having all the working titles inside a code box would save space and is just as easy to navigate. Just trying to help - it's your thread, Kylzer...do it how you like. I just thought that this may make it a little easier to see the titles that don't work. Psychlone
Thought I would add that Magic Disk image mounting software failed big time on my x64 Winsows 7 install. Just having the virtual disk visible in My Computer would crash Windows Explorer, could not navigate any of my drives and would freeze the system requiring a hard reboot. After reboot verything would be fine until I went back into My computer and magic disk started crashing and freezing again. I couldn't even uninstall it so I eventually had to boot into safe mode, uninstall it and now everything is fine again.
