Well i reinstalled the driver, this time your modded version + intel drivers found on official intel site(not oem) and seems it shut down normally for the first time, don't know if it got rid of the (not) shuting down problem. Have to do more tests.

Actually turns out I did not have the latest drivers.

When I go to the Intel website and use the auto detection to get drivers, it finds the drivers I "need" but then when install them it tells me they're not good for my OS?

I have installed the driver as mentioned in your post (DDU, driver signature, etc) and the installation was successful, however, the driver is not installed and the only screen resolution options are 1024x768 or 800x600 (My default is 1366x786) and whenever I launch the catalyst control center it gives me these two messages :

i.imgur .com/3dX3gfQ.jpg (remove the space)

note: my screen didnt blink during the installation of the driver
I have HP dv6 6096ex and my specs are:
Amd 6670M
intel core i7 2630QM
windows 7 64-bit
intel switchable graphics

this problem in updating happens to me in every driver i install I used to be on 13.10 because it was the only driver that works but now it gives the same problem.

 

which intel driver you are using?

 

uninstall all old drivers + use ddu in safe mode

 

I dont know actually which intel driver is this. it is just written intel graphics in the windows info and i have searched about it in hp website but it is not written there. sorry for that.

Upgraded from Win8 to Win8.1 to try the new driver and working OK, no difference in 3DMarks.

Except when I try Afterburner in the same config as for 14.4. It's not reading any clocks. I think I'm gona went back to 14.4

 

disable ULPS to get afterburner to read the clocks

 

Don't have any Mantle games installed here on my laptop, but it's working fine so far, thanks for the driver.

BTW, I downloaded the latest intel driver then downloaded your driver and it works now absolutely fine.
