It's not like you're going to the gym bro, even then I think pre-music is unnecessary. For gaming? I just click and enter a game. If you need to get pre hyped to play a game then I guess its not the game for you...

Inb4 DON'T BE SO MEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! etc etc...

In game music 99% of the time. I believe the music is there to enhance the experience. Unless it's a grind fest like Diablo 3, then I occasionally play something else.

Why would anyone play music before gaming? Thats like saying which perfumes do you smell before eating.. or what gregorian chants you do before walking.. or which nostril do you pick before watching a movie. I may be listening to music before gaming, but not as an aid or inspiration or requirement for it.

Now 'in-game' music is a different thing altogether... THAT is a requirement for atmosphere, mood, feel for the game.

The majority of games I listen to the in game music. It was designed to go with the game and in most cases, makes the ambiance better.

There are occasions like Serious Sam or other twitch shooters that I'll play something else instead. Normally something along the lines of death metal or black metal.

I enjoy the games musical scores, especially if it's an epic RPG, it just works. I even go ahead and download those to listen to the tracks when I'm not in-game, sometimes before a gaming session. :nerd:
