Could use an audio upgrade if you are using onboard. You can afford better speakers than that.
    But yeah, envy.

I only use the speakers when the wife and kid are out so I can't justify upgrading them. Sound card..been thinking about this a lot, does it really make a difference? What would you recommend? I've never actually bought a sound card before lol.

something is wrong.... wrong room or something, send it to me i'll test it in my room :D
    P.S. nice rig

    and ofc this
If you're using headphones mainly get one of x-fi or asus xonar sound cards with built in headphone amp. something like xonar stx or sound blaster recon3d. would make a HUGE difference especially with your astro headphones.

I think so. I like to spend the same on my audio hardware as i do on my graphics hardware. I think you should do the same. Then I'll like your setup ;)!

edit: It also gets upgraded less since it doesn't go out of date the same so more reason to spend more!

Only on air? Pffft, that's nothing...

Nah, I kid, nice build, clean, too. It is justifyable for 3 screens.

    WOW! nice man:D

  12. You have done a great job with this build man, very clean :) I too can vouch for the Sound card option. I purchased just a basic Xonar DGX and even with a cheap card like that, the difference when using my Sennheiser HD485's is like night and day. Die onboard, die!

Really nice but I'm surprised to see a rig with 2 Titans running 3 monitors and only 8gb ram and no sound card. 8gb ram is enough atm for gaming but I just expected more when you look at the rest of that rig.

Lack of soundcard is inexcusable imho. Even a cheap Xonar DG/DGX will make everything sound a lot better. When my DG died last week, I had to use onboard for a few days and I hated every minute of it. Can't put my finger on it, but it just sounded dull, no punch to the sound. Also no headphone AMP, which I think was why it sounded so lifeless. I would get one of them, they're great for headphone use. They're cheap, something like $35. get one and see for yourself. it's a really good entry level card, if you like what you're hearing, maybe you'll want to invest a bit more down the road.
