^The draw distance in the above SS is staggering. :eek3: Looks enormous - must be like 7000m or so.....

No wonder they recommend a crapload of VRAM.

They're pretty poor BF3 screens and i'm gonna take those Arma 3 shots with a pinch of salt, not a single jaggy on them, from the look of it though Arma 3 is gonna be Crysis all over again, it will make systems cry.

Still, it's a win win situation, both will most likely be great games (and i will have both :D).

Imo you can't compare them good, cause bf3 is more in the desert, and arma3 is more green and grass :D

Thats right. I like more the BF3 lighting but, that may be well pure aesthetics.

If its less clunky that Arma 2 and has better animations, it should be very good.

Anyway, this thing has 1Gb so, if it uses too much VRAM (ala GTA IV but with next gen tech) its a no go for me...

Yeah, the strength to cripple even the most powerful computers, and a menu that will drive you insane...:D

Love to know what the improvements are....

    A constant 60fps on a GTX480 & X4 @ 3.875ghz at max settings is the improvement i'm hoping for.

    Not bloody likely :eek:c:

One more small note I noticed in this picture:

The camo pattern on the Merkava 4M tank is an Israeli camo pattern (though not widely used), don't know why it slipped my eye before. Though they seemed to have taken more liberties on the helicopter camo. This brings up the question why in this picture the Merkava 4M is painted standard OD green/tan (standard Israeli):

To be honest, I have no clue who the enemy is supposed to be here.

Wow this is great news, can't wait for this to come out. Awesome to hear that BIS has worked on the physic system.

I think Arma2 runs beautiful on my system on high settings and it's 1½ years old.

Your system is a bit more uber than mine better processor more ram etc etc lol.

Still really going to need to upgrade soonish, if only for arma 3. Got a year assuing the nation does not implode into financial disaster, maybe get some more ram and video card come next year.

oh yeah i just saw your specs.. i had trouble running arma2 too when i had a e6600 and 8800 gts 512mb.

a ssd really works wonders for arma2 as well since the game streams a lot of data and textures from the harddisk.

Those wide angle shots of the landscape look awesome....but seems there's a little bit of false advertising going on too, as not all of it is in-game...

Yeah i noticed that after a 2nd watch in 1080p, the people at the start are real and then from the helicopter part it appears to be ingame.
