    just spreading the word
    FlashPlayerPlugin_11_8_800_94.exe
    is being installed from
    http://get2.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/?installer=Flash_Player_11_for_Other_Browsers

it will NOT alow you to stop it from recording what you are doing, your microphone, and your video camera, storing data it records, or shutting down from task manager.
even if your in administrator mode.

adobe flash is now more invasive than you want. doing what you do not want with your data. and invading your privacy. get used to it or do something about it.

suppose maybe i should have taken screen videos of my work.
honestly i don't feel like reinstalling & undoing all of my work to learn how to screen video.
    not worth it.
go to hard drive/windows/systemwow64/ mentioned file name

double click to open. try to change settings. if it does work, close, reopen, and settings are all back to invasion of privacy on full tilt.
i could post a screen shot later, but im a wee bit busy atm

I am not seeing the behavior you describe.

Running 11_8_800_94 here and I can disable those settings just as easily as I could with any other version of flash

Same here, don't normally use the Flash software as i use Chrome, but i just tried it on IE10 and it lets me disable all that stuff so either user error or a they are using Firefox, which wouldn't surprise me as that browser has been gash for years now.

It does make me laugh that people are worried that Adobe might be capturing their face during inappropriate moments though lol.

You are aware you can turn off the webcam and mic in windows. Disable the camera in hardware manager and turn the recording volume down on the mic, or disable it altogether.

you can also disable flash from running in the background (protected mode) since it's a waste of space anyway
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

open mms.cfg and enter a line called ProtectedMode=0 and save it

I am using Chrome, which uses a custom Pepper API. So I have no need to install Flash. :)
