After three years and millions of warning letters, the French three-strikes anti-piracy law "Hadopi" has resulted in the first Internet disconnection. The customer in question will be with... France Disconnects First File-Sharer From the Internet
Only for 2 weeks, and its not even a disconnection, as it says they still got to be allowed to e-mail, instant message and use VOIP etc..., which you can't do unless your connected to the internet, LOL
wow this is great. the EU can read / share your files from google, skype, facebook, yahoo etc.. but you cant share their files ? .. ok this more relates to programs / movies i guess but nether the less luckily i dont pirate or share, never have done and never will
Yea I wonder how that would work out in court "You took my data without my permission, so I took yours, deal with it"
Millions of letters to many people throughout the whole of France, not just this 1 guy This guy was just the first who got "disconnected" under the Hadopi law.
If that had been the UK, his door would have would have been knocked off its hinges, and his rig removed for forensic examination, while he languished in some prison cell!
if they're going to allow emails etc then it's not disconnection and i recommend a re-word in the Hadopi Law because it almost sounds like the stuff in the bible.. where god's commandment says: "Thou Shall Not Kill".. but still the merciful loving God allowed moses to drown thousands of egyptian. (thou shall not kill, but i'm still going to allow you to kill for whatever reason). yee, we'll disconnect you from the Internet for 2 weeks but you can still use the Internet for Voip and Email. what kind of disconnection is that? LOL.
