I've just taken delivery and installed a MSI R9 290 but I have noticed that VRM sensor 2 is stuck at 49c. Is this a common problem with the 290 or do I have a bad card?

The RPM bug is in newer drivers I think. Your VRM sensor 2 should see fluctuation, no way it is 49c all the time. Which 290 do you have from MSI?

Maybe MSI had a bad batch of sensors. You check to see if there is an updated BIOS for your card?

I used live update to check but it said I had the latest BIOS.
