i have logged on to http://forums.seriouszone.com/index.php and this from one of the croteam "Just one note. In SE3 games, "maxed out settings" is a very undefined term. You will possibly be able to play on Ultra, but Ultra is not completely maxed out. It can go way further if you hand-customize. But some of those extra settings (like very high supersampling) are plain ridiculous."
ehhhh....4GB is pretty much standard these days. Nothing special. You can buy 16GB for for less than $200. Seems the game is very scalable. Those min req's are quite low.
I hate it when I see only Nvidia cards on spec recommendations. It makes me think that the game will run like s... on AMD cards or something will be lock. Or a huge amount of unnecessary tessellation so Nvidia will out perform AMD. Its good that we have the tess slider control.
yea.. Imo they used 4gb as a preventive so people with highend gpus dont bitch about stutter with just 2gb ram..
this guy jasser has an updated info thread going on. this is from there Minimum System Requirements CPU: Dual-core from Intel or AMD at 2.0 GHz Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7800/7900/8600 series; ATI Radeon X1800/HD 2600 series* OS: Windows XP 32-bit (with service pack 2 or 3) Memory: 1GB / 4GB free hard drive space Sound Card: DirectX9.0c Compatible Sound Card Recommended System Requirements CPU: Quad-core from Intel or AMD at 2.0 GHz Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 480/580 GTX; ATI Radeon HD 6970/5970* OS: Windows 7 64-bit Memory: 4GB / 4GB free hard drive space Sound Card: DirectX9.0c Compatible Sound Card * = ATI hardware requirements based on performance comparison charts from Guru3d.com and TomsHardware.com i think if you try you can get it to run on a 68gt. i really am thinking you can make this game your graphics bitch in either way... low or high.
I am still surprised when it comes to recommended system. I don't remember any game needed such a high end GPU's to run it on max.
Or Nvidia gave them hardware to develop that game and they have not tested that much on AMD systems. Recommended: GTX480, hah, haters gonna hate and it's good to see someone recommending this card
oh no, i see jaggies on the sand. :wanker: lol let me stop before someone takes me serious and starts flaming me :nerd:
sam it seems is stuck with the same wrinkles in his shirt too! how lame i cant believe that....deal breaker for many i'm sure lol another review http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2011/08/18/serious-sam-3-bfe-preview/ croteam has sent more pictures and info to the press so we will see newer stuff next week.
Croteam have said on facebook there will be a new video and more information next week. Most likely, the release date.
Croteam have said that the style and design of Sam2 was sort of an experiment. They were testing what would work... and what wouldn't. They said that while they are glad they went that way for Sam2, they've said it wasn't the right move. Future Sam games will be more in line with the original Encounters and Sam3. Serious in style and direction, but over the top in gunplay and sarcastic with it's humor.
