So during dinner last night I was able to get my hands on an engineering sample Radeon HD R9 290X. I can't fill in the blacks just yet I am afraid, but during the live session more will become clear... Check this the Radeon HD R9 290X
I find it hard to care these days, there was a time when upgrading every year you pay off, now though every time I upgrade I see no differences. At least in the next coming years there will be a need again as they push the new consoles and our existing consoles struggle to cope as much.... I dunno I just want the time back when hardware was exciting, now I get more joy out of monitors, they're the real factor in how good games can look.
I didn't see any gains from my GTX460 to GTX560Ti to HD7870/GTX660....but when I got my new monitor (from Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD to LG Flatron E2551) it was like a night and day difference. Nothing beats a good monitor...
Agreed. When I upgraded to my 680 from a 470, I was like....well I can use lots of AA now, cool? Upgrading to 120hz though made the purchase worthwhile to the extreme.
But the Titans were mostly killed by their own children. The Titan killer must be a next generation Geforce card
I find that cooler quite sexy! I hope it performs as good as it looks... Well, from a reference cooler view that is...
I'm not sure if it will truly kill the Titan but for me if the performance is almost as good as a Titan but with 200-300$ smaller price tag it can definitly qualify as an awesome card. I'm sure though that it will outperform the Titan in the many AMD favoring games out there like Tomb Raider etc.
Um no, i don't want a 700$ flagship GPU wake up man. We need to get back to regular pricing 499-550$. Then competition ensues causing the 780 to drop further.
