dpc latency is improved in the whql quadro drivers that just got released, but not by much. about 400-450 max now over 5-600

edit: i lied its the same.

Contrary to what the name 'page fault' might suggest, page faults are not always errors and are common and necessary to increase the amount of memory available to programs in any operating system that utilizes virtual memory, including Microsoft Windows, Unix-like systems (including Mac OS X, Linux, *BSD, Solaris, AIX, and HP-UX), and z/OS. Microsoft uses the term hard fault in more recent versions of the Resource Monitor (e.g., Windows Vista) to mean 'page fault'

i noticed the spikes happens when the voltage of the GPU change and the clock change of the GPU

hm so its basically forcing the 3d profile to 3d performance clocks? which wont trigger the boost function that adjusts the card under load. eh nvm its acutally a 4th mode by looking at nvidia inspector. 2d/3d/3dperf/whatever P0 means

gave it a shot and it still has high latency even with forcing idle/3d clocks without boost. thought the dynamic clocking would be a large contribution towards the issue. guess i was wrong.

semi fixed my dpc issues by installing older drivers

    realtek sound 2.45

    realtek lan 6250

highest execution times 5x smaller now for both on windows 8

    nvidia still spikes to 300-500

also have you tried using DPC-Enhancer?

it can cut your spikes by half or more

same thing as set timer resolution, windows 8 default timer is 15.25 ms or something and its reduced to .05.

Nvidia drivers suck, my system with 6970´s in crossfire has no dpc spikes whatsoever, perfect, but always problems with nvidia drivers.

Strange thing is this, with dpc latency checker my dpc is acceptable, but with latencyMOn its not great at all?! I will try to install Win8, as I have heard has great dpc values for many of my friends....

Did you try Uninstalling "latencyMOn"...... and playing games,

instead of gluing your eyes on DPC?

dpcchecker developer stated it's not compatible with win8 atm. latencymon is the only one that works with win 8 properly

GF please, calm down and read his post.
He's reporting DPC spikes, while playing Borderlands 2.

Now go ahead and help him with his "issue"

Thx guys, yes help is what I want.. ;) I would prefer not to install win8, as win7 is much better for my use anyways. And can admit and agree with the "troll", that I have quite good performance even with these spikes, but I wonder how good my performance was if I could get the dpc latency down? So its not a huge problem for me, but more an annoying one that I cant stop thinking about, and instead of enjoying my gaming, im wondering why its not working as well as it could do? ;) So any help is appreciated so I can stop worrying about this silly thing...

I think the "troll" has a point some of my games run a lot worse while latencymon is on.

To whom it my concern: The most obvious problem I stumbled upon using LatencyMon was a huge load of hardpage faults (100 + x per minute, around 1.500 + x µs), all caused by the MsMpEng.exe, an antimalware process from the Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). For curiosity's sake I tried to install a different AV tool (Avira free in my case) and now I am down to 0 hardpage faults!

Have you tried what ^ said?

I dont use MSE or WD (windows defender)...
