Just saw latest cpu-z 1.75 has build-in benchmark Lets see some tests :nerd: this is what I get at 4.6GHz atm (quick test - had some stuff in background), will edit @ 4.7GHz later
Isn't 6700K stock actually @ 4.2GHz boost (base 4GHz)? Judging by your result looks like DDR4 3000MHz helps a little vs stock generic result Im guessing they either used DDR4 2133MHz or 2400MHz Anyway I tested 4.7GHz now, it helped a little vs 4.6GHz :nerd:
So it seems 6700k stock is just fast as 4770k at 4.7ghz. Now thats a unexpected difference between Skylake and Haswell. Anyone with Skylake i5's can do a test? I'm curious how my Sandy stacks up.
Actually ~300mhz.. maybe max 400mhz overhead. 6700k 4.2ghz vs 47x0k 4.5 - 4.6ghz Check my 4.6ghz result - its still faster, especially multithreaded.
Water all hooked up now, added 4.69 and 5.0 results. 5.0 might be pushing it cause it seemed a little sluggish compared to 4.69
@lexer98 That looks OK though. My 4690K @ 4.2GHz ST = 1900 MT = 7431 (can't post images for some reason, annoying)
Yea I had noticed that as well and thought it was a bit strange really, given you're 500MHz up on me.
5930k @ 4.3ghz ( all cores ) higher OC can cause BSOD so i'm sticking with this for gaming and everything
Well I tested 2133mhz ram and to my surprise I didnt see any lower score, e.g. by single threaded (2136-2139 area, usually 2138). 2133MHz: CL9-11-10-27-1T (32GB/s aida64) 2400MHz: CL10-12-12-31-2T (35.5GB/s aida64) but I saw a interesting boost by multithreaded though, tested higher cache frequency @ 4.4GHz, cpu still @ 4.7GHz. But it wasn't so consistent, on next run it was already 92xx something..
