no, this is 12.4 official beta...

If the make no changes, then it will become 12.4 WHQL after certification.

Does Radeon Pro still work with this driver? If so, I would try it as I want to keep my RP profiles.

Upgraded from 12.3's, because was hoping for improved BF3 performance (12.2's seemed to have better), but it seems exacly the same...same with IQ

Also haven't seen any clockspeed related issues, but I don't OC, just manuel fan speed...

    whoa what the hell

i just installed 12.4, and my dgpu runs at 1/6 the performance.

gpu-z says my dgpu is locked at 100mhz core 150mhz memory.
In 12.3, my dgpu was locked at 600/900.

How do we report these bugs to AMD ?

why does AMD keep breaking things with every new release....

in 12.3, overclocking cpu with turbo caused reboot failure. 12.2 and earlier are fine. plus, 12.3 locks my dgpu at max clocks during idle.

12.4 beta locks my dgpu at lowest 100/150.
Isn't 12.4 beta carried over from 12.3 ? so shouldn't my dgpu work..

I wouldn't bother reporting anything to AMD

    ?

There are no AMD employees on this forum. Sounds like you offended a regular user.

Basied on your attitude, im not surprised...

I installed the drivers and so far everything is working fine. Just need to run through my games for compatibility or performance issues.

One problem that I have with all AMD driver upgrades is that after each upgrade, it kills access to my USB webcam.

The Windows 7 detects the webcam having issues, but no software can connect to it. I have to wipe windows, reinstall everything then it works.

When the Nvidia card was my only video card, it would work after any number of driver upgrades or rollback, with and without CCleaner/Driversweeper.

Anybody have any ideas on this? It is not this driver specific issue... maybe it has something to do with the encoding codec updates?

Have you tried installing just the driver, APP, and CCC?
It might be the 'accelerated video' crap that, well, crapped your webcam codecs.
And to fix it you might just have to reinstall the webcam drivers, not the whole Windows.

I'll try to uninstall AMD's accelerated codecs, but on a fresh OS install with the accelerated codecs installed, the webcam would work.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the webcam drivers and no apps can connect to it, even though windows detects it properly.

I guess a backup / os reinstall may be required if uninstalling the codecs won't work.

    Wow

I removed the 8.951.0 March 8 drivers and installed these

Wow, these are like freaking night and day better, my framerate in L4D2 is up around SIXTY FPS, with the same settings I was using before, and far as I can tell is image quality is the same

EDIT1: Tested with Skyrim, FPS is WAY up, before I would get around 70FPS in whiterun and using adaptive AA and 4xAAEQ, now I'm getting 85FPS

EDIT: Tested with Shoot Many Robots, again performance seems far up. Still the glitch with adaptive anti-aliasing in this game but I had that with previous drivers as well

I've noticed overall that framerate with MSAA4xEQ with Adaptive anti-aliasing on is -far- higher framerates then I was getting before, its almost comical the difference in speed
