between Artic Cooling Freezer 13 CPU cooler and Artic Cooling Freezer XTREME Rev. 2, which one perform the best?
really appreciate your comments guys... it come to my thought that my local store sell the Freezer EXTREME to be more expensive than Freezer 13 cooler, that makes me think that the Freezer EXTREME will perform better than Freezer 13
The Freezer Extreme is garbage imho.... It's a single fan "push/pull" design that's rather inefficient and has a rated cooling capacity of 160watts. The Freezer 13 is a single fan, push design with a 200watt rated cooling capacity. The rated cooling capacity tells you exactly which is better.
Does your local store sell other brand coolers? Arctic is known for its VGA coolers, not CPU coolers. I dare say their CPU coolers are below average. Even a lightweight cooler like Thermalright True Spirit or CM Hyper 212 Evo should perform better than those Arctic coolers.
Is it quiet too? I use a Zalman CNPS9900A and it keeps my 1090T (3.8Ghz) at less than 40C all year round and I don't hear a thing. Going to redeploy it when I upgrade to Ivy Bridge in a few weeks too.
i'm stuck with my case that only have the height for cpu cooler around 140mm, so the artic freezer 13 is the most suitable that I found out, any other cooler that perform better around those height?
