Thanks. There are a whole bunch of folders and files at the end of the link. I guess, I was wondering if I needed to d/l all of them, or running the executable is all I need to do?

Updated the 2015/2017 runtimes.

The 2017 runtimes are rebranded and updated 2015 runtimes, therefore separate installation of 2015 runtimes is not required.

Changes:

• updated the C++ 2017 runtime 14.10.25008.0 --> C++ 2017 runtime 14.10.25017.0

Just how Microsoft released them. Quite possibly they had to make a slight change to the package at the last minute bumping the number, but that change wasn't required for the x86 redist.

Thank you for update, but version 52 is not installing minimum runtimes x86 2017, all others are installing correctly.

 

Confirmed " Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 x86 Minimum Runtime - 14.10.25017 " does not install.

The % is missing from v52's installer.cmd for the 2017 runtime.
(And that's about it, the other differences were just changing the version number of 2017 from 25008 to 25017 and v51 to v52


EDIT: No that doesn't change anything.
Files all seem to be there though in the Windows folder so perhaps it just doesn't show up in Add/Remove?

 

That`s typo in v51 because %windir% is environment variable.

When I try to manually install x86 2017 minimum it fails, saying I should run the setup.exe instead.

 

There seems to be an issue with the " Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 x86 Minimum Runtime - 14.10.25017 " with the v52 installer as they do not appear in the Add / Remove section of Windows.

I have sent a PM to " thatguy91 " to report the bug.

I'm sure he will release another version when he has repaired the issue.

 

I have received a PM from " thatguy91 " indicating that he is working on a fix.
It seems that this issue does not occur on ever Windows installation.
It may take a little more time to track down the root cause.

• corrected the x86 2017 runtime install issue, simple oversight but no idea how it actually worked for me and others! Possibly there's an unresolved minor Windows bug that allowed it?
