Both are good card, and they're priced pretty accurately according to performance. If you can stretch to the cost of a 670, then go for it. If not, the 660 Ti is still a good card.

The lower memory bandwidth on the 660 Ti isn't really an issue at 1080p, so don't worry about that.

I'm torn now but hey what CPU would not bottleneck? I was thinking a 8core AMD since Intel is outta my price range. I love the support for Radeon though been always curious about their cards but I love PHYSX in games and play alot of them and play alot of Nvidia games.

I think you'll be most happy with the 670PE that you're really wanting to get. ;)

You can overclock the 660TI pretty well . have it running at 1075MHZ (overclock to 1222MHZ) and 1750MHZ memory so it certainly isn't a bad card.

My performance is just under a 670 in benchmarks.

Question you have to ask yourself is do i want to fork over 100 quid extra for a 670.
if you don't mind the price of the 670 get it.

Yes, I suggest you wait it out. That 560Ti will endure a bit more. :)

Yeah but still limited in games can't run hd textured modded skyrim even without aa maybe be the mods that make it kinda studder heavily and not progress in frames for like 10 secs but i think the card was great but so want to play the games the way they should be played

Unfortunately to run games as they should be played, you will be forced to buy an entirely new PC, not just a GPU.

Your best upgrade is definitely a new mobo/cpu. Your graphics card will hold a bit longer until the next gen.

Does ARM make desk top parts yet? J/K

Why the distaste for intel? You can get a good IB setup like a 3570k and an asrock extreme4 Z77 board for about the same price as a good 990fx board and a 8320BE.

If you want to go AMD, go ahead. Know however that it sucks.

I'am actually looking at getting the i7 3820 Sandybridge, with the ASrock Xtreme6 X79 board. Question I have a Zalman 9500 Heatsink Cooler on my AMD 955 can I use it on the LGA 2011 Board or do I have to get a new heatsink as well because this Processor doesn't even come with a heatsink/fan

Unlikely considering the 9500 is around 5 yrs old.

You'll want to invest in a better cooler anyway if you plan to overclock.

Only if it's compatible with socket 1155.
