As far as i know, after a long stressful viewing of articles, reviews, and videos i know for sure that 770 is a better bet and hell i would love to own that card but i don't even have the option of going out of budget.
ZOTAC 770 here which is the cheapest version in market costs around 29K that is around 482 USD so the price marginal difference is significantly high.
So it all comes down to the 280 non X edition and GTX 760 or 270X Toxic edition.

Of course making one to be a future proof card with the performance i want as i proposed in my original question, which should it be ?

THANK YOU FOR THE EFFORT, brother :)

If the 280 fits the budget, go for it...

Oh, and I wouldn't thank prokilla for taking a dump in your thread either ;)

Then the answer is very simple, 280 is the way to go.

But the x version performs quite a bit better, and hardly costs anymore Money? :)

People that ask me what gpu they should buy while being on a budget, i used to recommend them 7950, and now i recommend them 280x or 290, depending on the budget.

If Money is a major concern in the gpu purchase, then nvidia is usually not the right choice...

Read post 22 the 280 is probably the best choice out of the 3 he mentioned.

Well he said he couldnt afford the 770, but that Card is alot more expensive than 280x :p

Anyways, 280 is a very decent Card aswell - especially if he can get it with a good aftermarket cooler, as i imagine he will be struggling with temperatures even more than i am!

This would probably be the Card of my choice, if he is to choose a 280

Haha obviously you don't understand the basic principles of GPU memory, or how to gauge performance on paper.
I think maybe you work for geek squad lol.:stewpid:

You have no idea what you are talking about. And I don't believe you that you build dozens of rigs per month with the load of misinformation that you posted. Also The R9 280x is on par with the 770 in some games.

What facts are flawed? I said they are the same price. The 770 WF is also $300 on newegg.

Really? Is that what I said? Could you please quote me because I don't recall saying anything of the sort.

You wouldn't be trying to wriggle your way out of a bad situation by any chance, would you?

*btw, there is an edit post feature- please use it.

The 280 will be a bit faster than the 760 across the board. Nice to see you're using Newegg reviews as a reference, what a good source of knowledge that is.

    280 > 760 because it's cheaper and faster
280x > 770 because it's about equal, while costing less and has more vram

Based on prices in the UK.
