Just talking about this on a Kepler thread weirdly enough. I was hoping for it sooner than flippin October, oh well.
Dammit, October. Oh well. I'll buy it on PC day 1. Loved the original, never bothered with the 2nd, looked like it was too much of the same thing. This looks fresh and interesting!
Well, if nothing else comes out in October I'm interested in.... maybe. As it is, this game doesn't grab me. I have worries about story and pacing, as those have been big issues in the past for Ken and his team. Peaking in games far too early, leaving you slugging through crap to get to an unsatisfying end. BioShock and System Shock 2 both peaked far too early. Having their best moments are roughly the half way mark. Leaving the rest of the game feeling a bit tacked on. And it's far worse in BioShock. Personally, BioShock 2 was the better game. With better gunplay, far better pacing... fixing my complaints with hacking and researching. Also, from the videos I've watched... the combat and gunplay in Infinite looks incredibly boring. So, as it is... BioShock: Infinite sits as a sale price buy.
Can't wait. Loved both Bioshock's. 2nd wasn't as good as the first story wise but it was still enjoyable.
My thoughts exactly. And since Levine is on board again (was not directing Bisioshock 2), this'll be as epic as it can get!
I never finished #2, will there be any reference to it in infinite? should i go back? i think i still have some saves but it wasn't as fun as 1.
Dont think so. The (original) team thats developing Infinite did the first Bioshock, not the second one.
The way Irrational is going with the spoilers there won't be any surprises left in the game by November.
They are going the "Valve - Half-Life 2 marketing" route. Give away everything before release so nobody can be letdown.
I guess the delay is good in a way if it means the game will be better. The last thing I want is another BioShock 2 disappointment after the brilliance of the original game.
Bastards......but I guess Darren is right. While I liked Bioshock 2, it was nowhere near the level of the first game.
Could also mean Take Two wants to push out GTA5 around October. Though I doubt it if there isn't any news about the game in the next month or two. Was nice of Levine to make a proper statement though.
Doesn't bother me at all. I have zero interest in this game. BioShock I found to be a pretty big disappointment. Now, I'm completely willing to admit that may be in part to my own expectations. Specially when they announced the game by calling it a spiritual sequel to System Shock 2. But, it was the pacing and story of BioShock that hurt the game the most. Peaking at the midway point, and stumbling around for another three or so hours was not what I would call "great". Add in the lackluster combat and the horrible way the story just fizzled out with no actual moral conclusions based on what you did... Good game, but ungodly overrated. BioShock 2 I actually enjoyed more. Better pacing, a more directed story... It's not amazing. But it was fun. BioShock: Infinite... right now, I can't say the game has done anything to grab my attention. They are riding on the new setting to try and lure players in, and really, the new setting does nothing for me.
Man that sucks. I've been looking forward to it for so long already. At least they announced the delay well in advance, which means it's not a last minute fu<k up.
finally, devs are waking up when it comes to singleplayer focused games. kevin levine hqs confirmed that there will be not pointless multiplayer. http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/po...nite-skips-multiplayer-kevin-levine-confirms/ sorry if link dont work, im doin this post with playstation.
