I thought this was the standard, normal way. To think other countries had it so well people could vote candidates they actually liked.

If a kid in school would paint dick in exam paper - he would be punished.
If Theresa proposes bs - she should be punished. Why laws are either accepted or dismissed. Should be some warnings for bs law proposers. Why isnt the case?

Restricting access to porn, won't decrease violence. Quite the opposite. Sex releases endorphins.... Endorphins reduce stress and violent urges. So, take away something that assists in the release of endorphins and watch violence increase....

On a more serious note, if Gov'ts would stop trying to use such events as justification for taking away rights and freedoms, people would stop thinking that they're Gov't organized specifically for that reason. I mean, think about it. Such a sickening event happens and what's the first response from Gov't? Take away rights and freedoms. If these events weren't orchestrated by the Gov'ts, that wouldn't be the first response. The first natural response would be "How do we stop this from happening again?" Keep in mind, criminals don't follow laws to start with... That's what makes them criminals.... Taking away rights and freedoms only creates more criminals..... More criminals = more Gov't control = more criminals = more Gov't control = more criminals.... Anyone else see the cycle here?

This isn't a political thread. You can't discuss Gov't without politics, but that doesn't make a thread political in nature.

Most of the porn you watch nowadays could very well have links to underworld cartels.

    1, evidence of this

2, does that mean it's okay to spy and record every activity on the internet you might do in case of "jihadis"

ISIS is a crazy oppressive regime, what sort of mind games do you need to play to think they're running eastern European porn rings

ISP's can now record everything, iplayer says you must now click yes to having a TV license. The people in detector vans are an independent company making commission from strong arming people into signing up. New snoopers charters laws what's to stop virgin/bt/whoever selling this info to the ISPs then onto the private company "tv detection" vans.

    This is a small example.

I was thinking more along the lines of prostitution. Many people have voiced concern about this for many years. Modern porn is very demeaning to women too. An example of this is if you look at, say a porn movie from the 1970's or 80's and compare to the ones now. The differences are shocking.

You are talking whole other ball games compared to this.

May has been harping on about this nonsense for a while. Porn is an old time "big bad" the kids can't see this. And it's a thinly veiled excuse for total control extreme internet surveillance.

Are you really ok with the idea of "if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to loose"? This is media censorship on a bad scale

If you want to fix this, fix the background behind the exploitation of women in eastern Europe

We already have laws for those issues. The problem is getting to women before they fall into these traps where they are used and abused and that problem stems from social issues, low wages and poor job opportunities, so they turn to selling themselves or are pressured.

Well off Uni students tend to escort and d ocam work to pay off student debt.

We also have anti trafficking laws, the UK govt didnt care about that. may want to talk about the children, they dont care about hte children:

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3519066/rochdale-child-sex-abuse-ring-grooming-three-girls-victims/

And as of 2016, its still going:

ROTHERHAM ABUSE SCANDAL: Horrific reality of 'industrial scale' child grooming revealed

All this just makes Mays statement even more disgusting.

In a world thats is on this anti fake news and show me your sources business, id like may to present atleast 1 peer reviewed paper that links sex to being the cause of terrorism.

I am voting here for party which actually wants to give people basic democratic power... REFERENDUM.
Yes, we have no law for referendum and people can't trigger it.

And it happens that same party wants to give people power to remove politician from power by same means.

And it is same party which believes that politician should take responsibility for their actions.

So yes, after many years of choosing between punch to the shoulder and kick to the stomach, there are some alternatives.

The top BBC news item on the radio last night about the arrests of people in London had a couple of the 'possibly linked to the internet' lines in it.

Scary times as I have said before.

Very true, we have electric shavers nowadays, some of those 70's bushes are bone chilling.

    WAAAIIIITTT

Porn is the EXACT opposite of terrorism.

I mean terrorists take lives, porn (sex) creates it.

We should fight terrorism with porn!!!!

    Who is with me?

Unlike religion, the porn industry pays tax. The porn industry has even done more to encourage safe sex than all the religious entities who oppose contraception and sex before marriage.
