I really think it should have stayed closed, it's not like any of us here are capable of understanding what his points are.

I don't see any point to it. Both of his questions have been answered and it's not like the pics he posted are of any great quality anyway.

CRT's are obsolete. Nobody wants to lug around a 100 pound 21" monitor. There are several cheap LCD monitors that are bigger and better quality than each of the three monitors he is talking about.

it doesnt work like that as CRT's are analog, the number of "dots" is variable( the ones you see are the ones currently being generated for that res ), its more a case of what the CRT is capible of and its refresh rate at that resolution.

I agree, I also do not think he is going to post anything not already known or relevant. Actually I know this because all the information is out there and I have actually repaired and stripped down old TV, monitors just to see how they work, but he seems to entertained by the end result without knowing the inner workings.

I hate saying this, he is amusing.

lol, WTF, when did you become mod? man ive been reading these forums too infrequently this year.:banana:

Yep, hes a good laugh, doubt the thread will go anywhere constructive though as its pretty obvious how CRT's work and the difference between screen sizes.

Why is this post even opened? ricardonuno1980 has been preaching about this outdated technology since I joined Guru3D. I don't understand his OP but I do understand that CRTs are a thing of the past, sure there are still advantages of CRTs but the disadvantages outweighs the advantages of this older technology.

If it didn't, then people would still be using CRTs en masse right now which is not the case. People are buying LCDs, not CRTs. You can't even get good CRT TVs these days either because no one is willing to produce them except for those no-name manufacturers.

... and then when OLED becomes mainstream, people will stop buying LCDs, that's how technology works; stop holding on to the obsolete technology and move forward.

@few guys: Sorry about technology CRT monitors. But new high-end CRT monitors seller were discontinued in ~2006 or '07 = ERROR!! - I miss it. :( Because my great concern is motion blur issue for any (despite new) LCD monitor. I think that high-end CRT monitors would be discontinued WELL in 2015, 2 years after OLED monitors released. ;)
    Can you understand that? :)
I like OLED and also CRT monitor (not CRT TV), okay. :)
