How do I change the DoF? Make the distance to blur further from the player?

 

That's where im stuck in ,what should i do? change the "Gibbed.Disrupt.Unpack.exe" name to "Gibbed.Disrupt.unpack windy_city.fat X:\FOLDER" ,windows won't let me use the ":" while changing the name ,i apologize for being so n00b but i want to mod this game so bad.

 

If i doble click on Gibbed.Disrupt.Unpack.exe it shows up for half of a second and instantly closes.

 

I know you're not a pc gamer at all and i even fully agree in the "For gods sakes...no one cares about kaz vs theworse or w/e."

But those mods added quite a lot graphically ,specially when you compare it to the underwhelming vanilla graphics.

 

Drag and drop the files you want to unpack onto the Gibbed.Disrupt.Unpack.exe . It will unpack and create a folder with the files..

That is what i get when i drop both common.fat and dat or just common.fat
Help please i really have some nice ideas to make mods.

 

So check this out. I extracted the sound_english.dat and there are 7,544 .sbao files... but one is only ".bao" which isn't the right extension for this engine.

could it be something that was either disabled or a bad typo by a dev? Maybe surround sound support? who knows.

edit: just converted it back to its original wav file and it's just a woman saying "You don't want to do this, it's wrong"

Alpha, if you really want to win people over you have to show them something new. Show us something that TheWorse is missing from his mod. Like that snow stuff, even tho i don't really see how that would work, but the point is that you just have to try and find something.
I hope we will see some competition between you two. Only positive stuff can come out of that.

 

The "Snow" is not snow. Is another object for a different rain emitter.

And i dont have to show anything. Kadzait will. And this theworse guy is asking donations. Its amazing how he managed to get you all.

Okay, so I'm looking to mod the textures, buildings etc etc. What program would I use in order to open/change those files? I believe their .obj/xbg files?

Any help is appreciated guys. I have some weird obsession with this game so I'd like to start creating something for it.

 

I wish this so much... I would like to see this Parallax mapping I keep reading about all the time, but never shown in videos or screenshots. I have a question about extracting files. I tried to read through to see if it was addressed, but gave up on page 4 where it became apparent the thread is a battleground.

Anyway, how can I extract the audio from the game? I read through the guide, but I didn't see anything that pertained to audio specifically, unless I missed or didn't understand something.

I am particularly interested in the voice files.

 

Wow, this seems quite complicated, think I'll let the modders play around with the files and create some awesome mods like TheWorse has!
