Kinda similar to Nvidia's thing, $3000 for the price of $2000 GPU's vs $1500 for the price of $1000 worth of GPU's. Must be expensive to build these giant chips and smush them together lol. Anyway I think its pretty awesome that they managed to shove 2 full 290x's on a single card. This thing is a beast.
In the review you list two Nvidia drivers. 335.23 and 337.50. Perhaps I missed it but which one was used for the review?
Nice the card is on top everywhere until that 337.50 driver update when suddenly 780Ti SLI is on top again. Too bad it can't be compared to some Mantle enabled games yet.
Impressive card. I wouldn't wait for the Titan Z then, as even the 790 will be faster and cheaper than it, like the 780Ti was over the Titan.
Im somewhat disappointed about the OC tbh (especially at those temperatures). Is the voltage the wall that is hit ? Does it have a controllable voltage controller even (afterburner)?
Its mixed... Bioshock, Hitman, thief yes ( not at max resolution anyway ). ( but anyway, this was allready the case for Bioshock and Thief with previous drivers ) On other games, the 295x2 is in front of it.
Phat review! Kudos to AMD for completing this achievement. Still, these solutions are so insanely expensive.
Dude 1200~ euro for such a beast isn't even that much (ok it is, but compared to TITAN-Z... wow). Damn it I'm tempted again, even though I want to stick with nvidia (mainly because I got used to them) but AMD really pulls off some amazing stuff. I'm VERY tempted to either get this or get 2x290X custom cards like MSI Lightning or something... but I actually think one 295X2 would be the cheaper option!
This ^^ After the initial 290X cooling fail, it's nice to see that AMD have not made the same mistake twice. Very slick to ship with an integrated WC solution. I hope this becomes a trend tbh
