i got 3 types in mind to replace my crappy psu.. SeaSonic P1000 1000W 80Plus Platinum Enermax MAXREVO EMR1500EGT 1500W 80Plus Gold SilverStone SST-ST1000-G Evolution - 1000W 80Plus Gold SilverStone SST-ST1200-G Evolution - 1200W 80Plus Gold some of them i can get at same price such as seasonic & enermax while silverstone i can get cheaper..which 1 is better?
Out of those listed, the Seasonic platinum is the best. Any reason why you want a 1KW PSU? That's well and truly more than what you need for you setup, or any equivalent new setup. I have an Enermax Platimax 750W myself, couldn't be happier! The Platimax's also come in models with 5 higher power levels. http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1&lv0=1&lv1=52 The Enermax's full range might not be fully available locally, so if there is a trustworthy online retailer in you country try checking them out to see if they have the Enermax Platimax at a competitive price.
None of those if you plan to use them on your current rig. You are not even going to come close to ideal load so efficiency will suck.
^ I agree, an Enermax Platimax 750W like I have would be good for efficiency. On 230V/240V check out the graph here: http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=1&lv1=52&no=171 (ignore the 115V stuff).
Corsair AX1200, don't get the AX1200i it's not as good! Couldn't see a Guru3D review but JonnyGuru gave it 9.8/10, [H]ard|OCP gave it Editor's Choice Gold Award and I'm sure Rodney Reynolds would have said it was a 'KickASS' product too
AX1200i is even better. As a matter of fact, it's pretty much the best consumer PSU to date. And as cool as RR is, what he says about PSUs means close to nothing, as he does not perform comprehensive PSU testing.
Seasonic Gold Series X-750 for your current PC ? http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Cases-...wer-Supply-Review/Final-Thoughts-and-Conclusi
All great power supplies. I got the ST-1000 and its great however i dont like the fact it doesnt have a powerbutton on the back. Which ever is cheapest go for it.
It is good unit but if you bought it for your current rig, I can't say that you made a good decision.
dont know...keep shutting down n booting if i played crysis 3 n made my gpu a weird noise...since i replace no more noise..pc booting n better performance
I agree. Even me with my 750W, I wouldn't come close to maxing out the PSU. Basically unless you run 20 HDD's and run a dual card setup, 1KW would be a wasted unit. You would also be running it outside of it's peak efficiency range.
I have dual GPU system, 4 ram sticks, 3 HDD's, one SSD, sound card, fan controller, four fans (excluding CPU fan), DVD drive and I have 750W PSU (I'm nowhere near maxing out it). General consensus is that Coolermaster PSU's aren't that good, they usually don't use good OEM's for their unit and cut corners. So I'm not that surprised if it has gone dud.
Yes, Seasonic, Antec, Corsair, XFX, Silverstone, Enermax, PC Power & Cooling are brands you can depend on, and that's not to say some units from other brands aren't just as good.
