hey i saw your updated : you said that you have no problem with driver amd_120102_vga

but now you advise me to install 13.6 beta 1

    sorry for my bad english

Yes it happens to lots of people who own AMD cards, not just you.

I just don't get it,,,,, this is not just the first time for this problem that has been occured with ati amd card,,,,

why amd still selling their cards to the customer without trying to use in their laps first,,,

the customer are worried about this,,,,

can you imagine that you just bought a new graphic cards and there is the freaking problem showed up for the first day of your using...

this is kind of sh it thing that i have ever been through

i will never buy an AMD product ,,,,, expecially the new product one

i'm kind of scared now ,, you know what i'm saying????

You can't blame AMD for everything, partners are partly to blame....

Personally I haven't had much trouble, but I'd be scared too if I were you.

PowerColor is a pretty crap brand tbh, they often have issues. I wouldn't touch one of their cards.

I'm not sure what you're saying, if the card is acting up first day, just send it back. Yes, it's a bit of a hassle when ordering your hardware online, that's why brick and mortar stores can be better idea.

Had a similar problem with the HD5790, card would crash every so often in 2D mode (gray screen of death) and eventually corrupt the drivers and/or windows installation. When I send the card back to the retailer I got a replacement, no problem.

same, my first 7950 would gsod in idle quite a bit, took it back to Novatech (30 minute drive from my place) and they just replaced it without making much of a hassle. They tested the card briefly, while I waited, then said they didn't have a problem, I said it happens completely at random, they said fair play, then I said I want a different model and walked home with the Vapor-X. I've been shopping with Novatech ever since, just for this reason. they are a tiny bit more expensive and not always perfect, but nothing beats being able to walk into the shop and get everything sorted if something goes wrong.

I already said if the driver resets only happen while surfing to disable Hardware Acceleration in Chrome.

Otherwise you'll need to adjust the GPU voltage with AB or Trixx.

    No problem.
The GPU clocks ramp up faster than the voltage that's why you get driver reset.

what he's saying is that your 2D voltage might be a tad too low. what is your 2D voltage btw? have you tried disabling hardware acceleration in your browser?

Chrome enables HW Acceleration by default.

Jazzie, install MSI Afterburner and see what your 2D voltage is. And try to bump it up a bit. Pill, can you show him how? I'm writing from my phone so it's a bit difficult.

    put it to +20%.

now check your gpu voltage in the hardware monitor, see here
    [IMG]

now create a profile by dragging the sliders in the main window with the voltage slightly raised. bump the voltage up a bit. for me, it would look something like this. Notice the voltage is raised to 0.875 now. don't change any other settings!

now apply this profile and then click on save and then on one of the numbers 1-5. then click settings, then you'll see a number of tabs on top, navigate into "profiles" tab, click on 2D profile and select the profile you just created.

click ok. that should do it.
