Awesome, glad you like it. It's really a great piece of kit and if I'm honest, I don't miss any of the gaming features at all. High quality recordings sound unreal on good headphones. If I had to describe it using one word it would be rich. like proper jus rich. what was wrong with the Z btw?
I had it in the 1X slot above my 780, and I guess it was causing interference or something. The source would just switch itself between headphones and speakers sometimes and I had one time where it just stopped making sound completely until I restarted. Moved it to the lower X4 and all seems well. And yeah, I agree. Rich is a good description.
Glad you're enjoying it, it's pretty much unbeatable for the price range. How long until you get your hands on some new cans, still going for the X1's?
I'm pretty dead set on the X1's. So yes, let's form an owners club. I should have a pair by mid September to early October.
I will eagerly be waiting for you guys impressions of it. It seems to be a headphone that many people like. Is this the can that does not have replaceable ear pads ?
The X2's are out soon, so if you're not intending to buy immediately hang fire for a little until there are some impressions for the X2. I'm hearing good things so far, and the price seems to be similar. That's the only real problem it has to be honest, and it's not a major thing in my opinion. As long as you take care of your headphones they should be fine for a long time. Sauce
They're out now, although a little difficult to get hold of. I suspect they'll be fantastic from the little I've heard, but until they're easier to get hold of and there are more impressions I'd wait it out. Doubt it'll be much longer.
Yea, they look very nice.....I have pretty much sold all of my cans, after I picked up the HD800 except for the 225i....so I doubt I will pick them up, as I just cant imagine that they will get much head time. I may eventually grab the RS1 back, though. Still I am very interested in hearing someones impressions of these. The headband looks super comfy.
You should look into the SennGrado mate, I think you'd get a kick out of them. http://www.head-fi.org/products/sennheiser-grado-hybrid-a-k-a-senngrado
Yea, many people over there have been into modding and making those. To be honest though....I could not imagine them getting much head time either. My HD800 pretty much does all that I need.......maybe a can for some rock , like AC/DC....which is where I miss my RS1i a little bit. I have just recently bought a new dac.....I may spring for an OTL tube amp around october....one of glenn's offerings from over at head-fi.....he builds, what is suppose to be an awesome amp.....with the features you want....so I am thinking of going fully balanced. How are you enjoying the Aune T1 ?
The T1 is a great bit of kit as always, I'm sure IcE is loving his. I'm really wanting something new though, and I'm heavily leaning toward the Pan AM. It fits my needs perfectly, and seems to match extremely well with most of the headphones I'd use.
I have seen some sweet deals on those at head-fi also....not sure what shipping would be to you though. i believe $499 new, here in the USA
It will still work out cheaper than buying it new in the UK. I'll keep an eye out for someone selling one in the UK for a decent price, I'm not in much of a rush at the moment. I swear, there's people trying to sell them on Amazon UK for £1000, which is absolutely insane. I could have two imported and probably pay less.
