Thanks for the update on the drivers Hilbert. Installing them now + testing for improvements.

Did some testing with good old 3DMark11 and Heaven 2.5.

    3DMark11
    8.95 January 03
    P9140
    8.921.2 RC11
    P9266

    Heaven 2.5
    8.95 January 03
    FPS:78.8
    Scores:1985
    Min FPS:37.8
    Max FPS:178.1
    8.921.2 RC11
    FPS:79.4
    Scores:2001
    Min FPS:38.8
    Max FPS:176.4

Only a slight improvement but anything is better then nothing right? Going to test some BF3 MP.

Which is right, was showing as 134mb before, as they still had the old driver up :)

These drivers make BF3 run much smoother (for me) imho.

I can play it completely maxed out now with 4X MSAA at álmost steady 60FPS! :)

Now AMD has to fix Skyrim.

Still HORRIBLE Crossfire performance in BF3, even with MSAA turned OFF, i get drops down to 50FPS, WTF is going on? i have TWO 7970 OC'd to 1125/1525, and its like playing with a 3DFX card. i use CAP3...

    AMD, WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Returned 1 of my 7970s, kept the other as a backup.

In all honesty, the 7970s do beat the 580s across the board but the numbers do not tell the whole story.

The problem is that even though the 7970s are 20% faster, what you see on screen in a lot cases does not reflect this.

ArmA 2 is a good example.

Both pin 60 FPS. 580 SLI looks glass smooth while 7970 CF is a stuttering mess.

Damn shame as these cards are really powerful but yet again, CF has let me down.

I have owned many CF setups and I have always had trouble with them. That isn't to say that Nvidia doesn't have it's own issues but SLI has always worked better (for me at least).

As a single card solution, the 7970 is a great choice.

start thinking of returning my two 7970, for two kepler's, this is not acceptable.

Use a frame limiter built into msi afterburner, CF will be smooth.

Too bad amd cant put that in the driver like nvidia does with forceware.

I tried that myself and it worked for some games, not for others.
