Try OCing your cpu a little more if you can, in this game it'll make a difference, tbh what it needs from our cpu is 4.8ghz, 4.7ghz can get by as could 4.6ghz perhaps, 4.5ghz is cutting it short imo as is 4.4ghz. Just a suggestion, i'd be at 4.8 myself but i'd need a beefier cooler for that.
Sounds funny eh? I've not been the one dragging my butt from forum to forum looking for fix so i can play game though. Yeah laugh harder.
Well I'm GPU bound at 2560 x 1440. There was a tool posted in the crysis 3 forum a page or 2 back and its awesome. It tighten the cpu timings and this has way more effect than just upping frequency. I tested this tool at 1024x 768 res to be sure I was not gpu bound. At a point in the map it went from 78fps as normal. Alt Tab out, enable tool and bam!! Framerate shot up to 124 fps. Obvioulsly back up in 1440 it only helped in certain situations that were cpu bound but trust me, the guy who posted this was at 5Gig on cpu and this tool was the answer not going sky high with oc. Here is the link. http://120hz.net/showthread.php?1514-Cr ... -cam-video)&p=21396
what does 'tightening timings' actually mean? does it pre-render ahead much and introduce mega input lag or what? link is broken of course.
he doesnt know what it does, its just giving his findings. Its a system timer tool, that allows you to change cpu timer resolution. with the tool it maxes out the resolution to .5ms basically how fast a cpu reacts, or gets to doing something. for me, timer was 7,83 ms, got a decent fps boost with it set to .5ms
No, a 2gb card will be able to do this as well i guess. Give it a try and monitor vram usage, i've still not went over 2gb. I would look into it but the forum has trashed the link.
what do you mean trashed? link works fine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hcuYiqib9I&feature=youtu.be
tHAT A YOUTUBE LINK, AGENT SRY FOR CAPS darren posted link for a site incase you can't see well today. so it's a 'magic' app. cool! :stewpid:
you're right it does indeed work, i'm just pissed in general, i watched the vid and it seems interesting.
It really works, I was well impressed to be honest. Ive also tested with skyrim and planetside but no go with those two. Battlefield 3 however got a nice 5 fps boost
lol thats the timer resolution tool , file is renamed and passworded LOL this is the official site http://www.lucashale.com/timer-resolution/
