To Unwinder. I do have a question please?
Is there a way to use the GPU Monitor Gadget with the Riva install of Afterburner?
Or should i do a full install of Riva?, and if i do, can or will it cause issues with this beta version or any version of Afterburner??
I am trying to rid myself of Everest on the sidebar.
    Thanks in advance

    its locked to shaders.
so up the shader and core will follow.

maybe you get some info for your card before pushing.

I have the a 5970+5870 the 5970 has the cold bug but thanks to MSI afterburner I can boot into programs and change the profile on the fly.

Thank you to the developer of this program

I have an EVGA 480 GTX SC card and using AB 1.6 B5, I have of course checked "unlock voltage control and monitoring", restarted AB etc. and cannot for the life of me get it to take for voltage adjustment. I've uninstalled AB, Nvidia drivers, Precision etc multiple times to no avail, ideas anyone? Could it be a conflict with other apps perhaps, can't see why though.

Update: I had to do a OS reinstall anyhow and same result, no voltage adjustment after checking and restarting. Does this depend on perhaps some service that I could've disabled, I do tweak, turn off etc. many services, a reach here but I'm at my wits end on this. I'm using the 197.55 drivers btw.

Thanks. Voltage is high indeed, but there are far worse samples - I've seen 470 @ stock 1.087V, which is highest possible voltage for 470 model.

Ok, let's give one more try to restore communication. I'd like to see the report generated with <i> button and the result of running this tool.

Just a bug note. I get graphic corruption when OSD is active when I play TF2. I am not sure if this happens on other Source games.

    GPU: Radeon 5970 CFX

The report you've provided shows that driver doesn't contain an adjustable voltage for P0 and P3 performance states (full performance and balanced 3D modes). Not sure if it is driver or BIOS issue, I'd say BIOS.

What kind of graphics corruption? I've tested Portal/HL2 myself and AFAIR other users also succesfully tested it with TF2.

Hi, and thanks for checking. This is what I was thinking too as it's an EVGA 480 SC card. Have you heard of many having to flash to a capable BIOS to enable voltage tweaking, especially an EVGA card? I'm going to be putting this on water and would love to see how far this thing can go, thanks UW.

Misplaced models and textures on almost everything, players, maps. Lot of warping, like screen "shrinks". I will try to put up picks with I'm at home tonight.

Just wanted to say thanks Unwinder for steering me in the right direction, it was the BIOS afterall. I've since flashed to new 70.00.21.00.82 from 70.00.21.00.80 and now AB works as it should. Here are some pix:
