These are going extremely nice for me XP32bit.

174.70 was good, apart from some crashes in Hellgate. Those are taken care of in .74.

So these are definitely better than 174.70?

Way better! Of course the only way to find out is to try them yourself.

Lol Microsoft cut hardware sound to add in hardware video and just replaced one problem with another. At least Nvidia/ATI are more active than the sound card makers in fixing driver problems though.

Just d/l'ed and will install in a minute on XP. Don't have any problems with 169 except using AA through control panel.

Yes, just tried three games w/o ingame AA options and they worked.
But I think I read in the PDF file, AA doesn't work on GTX@SLI

Xp version wouldnt install for me(downloading again).

Vista 32 version installed and ready to try when i get home from work.

Great, reported good drivers, and only half day at work till i can try them.

I found 174.60 pretty good, better than 174.70, so hopefully...................

LOL this is just BS... Microsoft is the only responsible of Vista crashes and no other.

Uh huh. The fact that the 9800's are a mere money-making scheme (good for shareholders and who can blame them?) and there still isn't a card capable of running Crysis correctly doesn't register with you?

We should should all get on our knees and pray that ATI comes out with something that kicks Nvidia square in the sack, like the 9700 Pro did back in the day. Otherwise, we are all at the mercy of these bastards and we can all collectively bend over until something changes to motivate Nvidia in the interim.

What about 9800GX2? Or a SLI of 8800\9800?

Anyway this is not NVIDIA's fault... but ATI's... they are a market company, not a benefit organization.

Like I said man, I don't blame them. However, it doesn't mean I have to like it.

I've been wanting to upgrade for a few months now but article after article has proven that going from my current CPU to a new Core 2 will have an absolutely minimal impact on gaming performance.

Video cards are the overwhelming influence in contemporary games and my 8800GTX is still serving me nicely. So, I wait until the Nehalem's apparently and hope that Nvidia or ATI actually comes out with something truly next-gen. Sucks, especially since I want to play Crysis the way it's meant to look.

Yeah... this is sure. But the aspect I like is that even if NVIDIA is controlling (de facto) the next-gen market they continue upgrading also the 8 series (and even the 6 and 7)! This is for sure a great value-added not necessarily to be expected!

I guess we'll have to play it by ear. Needless to say, I'll be taking a complete pass on this series of card. The 8800GTX is still a great GPU and will have to soldier on for apparently at least another 6 months.

No dice for me. They just brought back BSOD/TRD problems which were fixed in 174.31 and 174.51. As I stated in another thread this is more likely a 780i problem with DX10 games. You have 680i, please tell how it works for you.
