I had a X4 955 BE OC'ed to 4Ghz with 6870, and I went on 7950 from 6870 on that same CPU, I didnt had any bottleneck and I really saw a nice improvement in FPS.

After that I went from X4 955 BE to FX 6300 and OC'ed it to 4.5Ghz it holds up really nicely but I went from 7950 to GTX 680, which you can see on the left, and then I OC'ed the card as well, and the monitor after it.

My point is with all these FPS numbers etc. it only matters what do you find satisfying when playing the games you like to play, dont worry about bottleneck even if you do have some, not talking about your case, because you wont have it. Just enjoy your games and dont worry too much.

It wasnt necessery for me to waste the money after 7950, because I was more than happy with the card, but I am that kind of person that just goes around sees something and has to have it, if you really think you need a 7950 just go for it!
