32Gb or 64GB SSD? Dual Core? are they serious for that price? looks like a scam to me. FAIL

I'd rather have the 13" rMBP in the same price range as the LTE model. Sure I'd lose LTE, but the rest of the specs are just much better aside from that weird aspect ratio screen.

    Come on!
My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet gives better bang for my buck than that appears to do. ;)

    When software companies create hardware...

Off the shelf BS, wrapped up in one of the most marketable/recognisable brands out there today...does NOT give you the right to charge stoopid amounts of $/£/€ and think you can get away with it.

Reminds me of the Microsoft Surface BS - trying to tell people how to use their hardware, because they wrote software.

Shove this %&*$ in your mouth and shut your face.

"I bet we if put out a device called a Chromebook Pixel and charge an outrageous price for it we can make off with millions" said no one ever.

It's a device that competes against the Macbook air, has a high res multi-touch display, i5 processor, high quality chassis, SSD, large battery, etc and you're surprised that it costs a premium, really?

And yeah, who wants software companies designing hardware, those Nexus 4, 7 and 10's are such overpriced pieces of garbage. Right.

Does it really make sense to put this resolution on a that small display ? I mean, you will have to stick your eyes real close to see what is written 0_0

I keep reading it competes against the Air, but why? Why not the rMBP?

That thing is useless and I'd pay the $200 more just for the offline usability of the rMBP.

LTE speeds vary from location to location and it's coverage isn't guaranteed everywhere. But even then, LTE can be slow for a lot of things.

And I was talking about the non-LTE $1300 one vs $1500 rMBP (hence the $200 more).

Honestly I'd "think about it" if you could boot windows 7 on it, but with chrome os only? No thanks. It's still a rip, but it looks really nice. Probably would just end up with onna the windows laptop/tablet thingies if I really needed something like this.

256GB SSD would be reasonable at that price.
