It's quite a big difference between the 980Ti and my old EVGA GTX770 SC :nerd: My eyes were bleeding throughout the test. lol
And people are saying that 2500k will hold 980ti back. Score improved so much it destroyed that poor 770, same CPU. Btw, why eyes ware bleeding?
Quick test of "cheap" used 980Ti from Amazon@1515/8110 -- 118.5 fps -- 4958 Not bad at all! 77% ASIC btw. :thumbup:
1500mhz hmm Moded bios or just pure manual oc? What voltage setting did you use? Didnt like that 1070 a... I guess it really was more of a weak sidegrade:nerd:
Don't most Maxwells happily hit 1500? Got 1600 out of mine with a modded BIOS, can't say it was stable, but it passed a run of Heaven, get 1500 with the stock BIOS easy enough
Not 980ti's Mine seems to artifact beyond 1480 and throttle a little after 65c.. Idk really doubt its psu that cant deliver after 1480mhz..
Actually the GTX 1070 Super Jetstream is an amazing card, runs 5-10'C cooler and uses less power(but who cares about that anyway) and I would had love to keep it for my main card if I had no plans for upgrade later but I couldn't justify paying 100euros more for a temporary(and just as fast/slower) card. And I think I will take a smaller loss on this used one instead of the new card later. Didn't gain much from modding the original vbios tbh. I did upped the power tables and disable boost. It clocks 1430MHz@1.199v and with voltage slider maxed@1455MHz after modding. Before it boosted to 1400MHz with maxed PT/Voltage. Also that 1515MHz@1.237v I don't know how stable it is since its summer and it throttles down to 1500ish@1.218v and it crashes(GTA5 and FC4). Maybe if I could maintain that 1.237v it would be stable but I have settled for 1495MHz@1.237v until further testing. I doubt is the your PSU too. I have the psu in sig and I doubt its not enough. I expected a bit more from the 77% ASIC Omega which shares same pcb with the Extreme version but I can't complain. As I said mine throttles too and we seem to be hitting the same clocks. Our cards must be related or something. Their clocks/behavior looks really similar. Funny note: I actually have 2 980Ti AMP! Omega's. The other is a 68% asic and boosts 40-50MHz less at maxed voltage than the 77% one. And its not stable as same higher clocks as the higher ASIC one. And it also runs hotter than the higher asic. I doubt that one would hit 1500MHz. ON air. Also it maxes @1.230v vs 1.237v. Just sharing the info. Yeah, as Tj said 1450-1500MHz is common for Ti. Like 1080 vs Titan X(P). Bigger chip, lower clocks vs smaller chip, higher clocks. True. I also have spent the whole day yesterday pitting the 980Ti vs GTX 1070 and I have all the data to back it up. A 980Ti@1450/8000ish is just a fast or faster than a 2076-2088/9200MHz GTX 1070. Any significant OC clocks above that and the Ti pulls ahead. Atleast in games I have tested so far. I have test M:LL, GTA5, FC4, RE6, FF:ARR, FF:HSW, Dirt Rally and a couple others. All in all I just think the 980Ti got a bit more horsepower under it vs GTX 1070 and this 980Ti@1490-1500MHz isn't much slower than my previous 1550MHz GB XG in games. Overall, really satisfied. :thumbup:
Ok thanks Yeah mine is 71 or was it 72% asic and it defaults to 1.187v.. max voltage is as your with lower asic 1.230v I did unlock voltage once to make it 1.243v but i reverted to default voltage for now. I think mine really needs 1.243v for 1500mhz or at least 1.237v.. I also unlocked 0fan mode.. now it idles 28% (30c) and at 65c ~60% Its good card.. think i'll just keep it until Volta :nerd:
Same here. No way so far to hold 1500+ below 1.237v. My GB XG was/is doing ~1530@1.199v. lol As I said, I tried the GTX 1070 SJS and is indeed an amazing card for main gpu but I have no remorse at all keeping the 100euros cheaper 980Ti until 1080Ti or Volta/Vega. None at all. And no way I will pay 300+euros more for the GTX 1080. No siree! :thumbup:

Always assumed the ti would OC the same, always wanted the 980ti, wondering if I should jump the gun again with the 1080, or wait
