I received this phone yesterday and I have to say this phone is amazing. Runs really fast, looks fantastic and the sound of it is the best ive heard on a phone. Stereo speakers with built in amps. Love it.
Awesome! Looking completely perfect so far (minus it coming with Sense, but who cares). Just patiently awaiting it to arrive to Canada so I can pick one up myself. Upgrading from an S2x, so it'll be quite an upgrade in every category.
Can you run the Antutu, Vellamo and Quadrant benchmarks on it please! I would love to know how well Snapdragon 600 runs on a released device.
Yup! Can't say I'll be using that feature too much, but it's nice to have features like that regardless... never know when it'll come in handy :banana:
I'd get it on AT&T if my upgrade wasn't 9 months out. Maybe the "One 2" will be out/being talked about by then.
I threw your results in here: Top: Nexus 4 (Snapdragon S4 Pro (Krait 200+Adreno 320)) Middle: Galaxy S4 (Exynos 5 Octa (A15/A7 BIG.little+ 544MP3)) Bottom: HTC One (Snapdragon 600 (Krait 300+Adreno 320)) Quadrant: Nexus 4: 4927 Galaxy S4: 11782 HTC One: 12168 CPU:10416 CPU:39190 CPU: 35926 Memory: 7419 Memory: 9662 Memory: 10788 IO: 4156 IO: 7338 IO: 10771 2D: 340 2D: 500 2D: 1032 (!, it's a still an Adreno 320...) 3D: 2303 3D: 2220 (What the heck!?) 3D: 2323 =========== Antatu: Nexus 4: 16635 Galaxy S4: 20105 HTC One: 22658 CPU: 5384 CPU: 6497 CPU: 10756 GPU: 8127 GPU: 8574 GPU: 8315 RAM: 2327 RAM: 4131 RAM: 2680 IO: 797 IO: 903 IO: 907 ======== Vellamo: Nexus 4 HTML5: 1372 Galaxy S4 HTML5: 2076 HTC One: 2396 Nexus 4 Metal: 618 Galaxy S4 Metal: 824 HTC One: 790 The Snapdragon 600 is definitely a big improvement over the already reigning champion, the S4 Pro. Can't wait to see the Krait 400 and Adreno 330 (Snapdragon 800) .
It's not really complicated: Top: Nexus 4 (Snapdragon S4 Pro (Krait 200+Adreno 320)) Middle: Galaxy S4 (Exynos 5 Octa (A15/A7 BIG.little+ 544MP3)) Bottom: HTC One (Snapdragon 600 (Krait 300+Adreno 320)) Though feel free to take my list and add the respective smartphones before each result.
By the way, can do one more test. The heat from the Nexus 4 pisses me off to no end. Can you please do the following test to see if they fixed the heat issues in the Snapdragon 600. -Download this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fivasim.androsensor&hl=en Set tunein radio to some station at maximum volume on speaker (not over WiFi, over 3G/4G), activate a 3D GPS program (Waze, etc),), have Skype in the background and have the phone plugged in charging during all this. Have this running for about 20 min at room temperature, after 20 min fire up AndroSensor and see what the temperatures are listed for the battery (as well as anything else). On the Nexus 4, it reaches a blistering 50 degrees celsius doing this.
50C seems a bit hot for a cellphone. btw.... Best I can do without testing every font. That last popcorn eating image is the best one so far.
Indeed. Anyway, beautiful phone. If nothing else interesting is released within the next few months I think this will be it for me.
