    I wonder what would happen to peoples sweetfx settings in general if they didn't have piss poor cheap TN panels. At least to my eye people seem want to get rid of dark detail (most likely because they usually look like crap or don't exist on cheap crap panel) and boost the saturation way too much.

    True, what you change depends mostly on what you see on your monitor (assuming you don't overdo it).I'm in the search for a quality monitor preferably DELL or an anamorphic (2560x1080)
