Can someone try and see if dxva video playback is still causing driver crashes with the 5970?

 

So did the betas with build 8.70 for me.

 

No water splashes on the windscreen in dirt2. :-(

 

it worked well for me too

but for me it seemed like crossfire wasn't working. all my games were slower and my overclocking tool didnt show both gpus

I actually have a 5970. I never changed my info.

actually the so awful leaked drivers you are using are worse in performance then the hotfix 9.12. they especially dont work well with physx for w/e reason in Mirrors Edge, so they obviously arent built right

 

The 'leaked' 8.70 version of the drivers posted a couple of days ago are the same as these. When i try to install it comes up with the drivers are all up to date. Nothing new to install...

 

you will need to uninstall 8.70 before installing these lol

 

Doh. Is there any point in uninstalling? Is the 8.70 version really that bad?

 

I know if u just send a feedback, but i have made a ticket.
They already response and i had to send some files ,so waiting for that answer.

Any benches? Cant be bothered installing after trying the last beta.... are these built on top of the 9.12 hotfix? if not = fail.

 

I hope when the real drivers come out I'll get better scaling in some games where I'm not getting good scaling, like Oblivion, where it scales at about 1.2, when the average for my better-scaled games is 1.7-1.9 (MW2 @ 1.9x scaling)

 

Oblivions like 3 years old now. It's not going to get much better. You're "better scaled" games are probably newer.

What clocks does the second card shows?

Somehow if i wait 30sec or so the clocks goes to 000/000MHz.
If I start gpu-z/furmark and the clocks goes to 157/300?

Powerplay bug? or extreme powerplay?

Using driver 9.12hotfix/ 8.69/8.70 all of them has it.
Never notice it before.

It is the new powersaving function, "turns off" the 2nd gpu on 2d.

I think the monkey in that video is the one writing the drivers. HA!
