G.SKILL is proud to announce that its Ripjaws SO-DIMM1.35V high performance DDR3 memory series for laptops & small form factor PCs reached a whopping 2600MHz on ASRock’s latest barebone ... G.SKILL Overclocked its Ripjaws SO-DIMM Memory to DDR3 2600MHz
2600 you say? I have been running my 2133Mhz ram at 2600 since I got it http://valid.canardpc.com/ja3ng6
Apparently it's a big deal because, if you read the article (which it seems few people do before posting), these were laptop modules. Still doesn't sound that impressive though to be honest.
I did read it thanks.. But I dont see why it how overclocking laptop ram would be harder than desktop ram.
Overclocking anything on a laptop is difficult. You deal with a power supply for the whole system typically the same as the power supplied to just a desktop CPU (60-90 watt). But like I said, still doesn't sound that impressive though to be honest.
