So you're looking at the most expensive 7950 vs the cheapest after market 660ti? :3eyes: I understand trying to make a point that 660ti's are supposedly cheaper (Which they're not), but that was outright misleading regarding the costs.

You can pick up Gigabyte X3 7950's, as well as Sapphire TwinX 7950's for less than the MSI 660ti on OCUK.

My information is spot on. It's the joint cheapest 660ti with a aftermarket cooler, along with the KFA2 and Asus Direct CU 2.

nvm i meant in terms of what i was looking at...i cant link it cos the website doesnt allow..

moreover thats only £10 difference...what am saying its pretty equal and i cant see the overall lead in fps being that great (depends on the game ofc).

i should add am not going for stock v stock, talking decent aftermarket coolers like the msi and his versions.

    Sure.

OCUK has been blocked for a few years now.

If the Titan matches or exceeds two 680 in sli i would go Titan, One gpu is always better than two, it won't require sli drivers and some games don't ever get sli enabled good example right now is the new need for speed :(

I would go for 7970, the thing is getting a reference 7970 seems harder and harder, i have water cooling so temps with my gpus arent a issue, too bad they started locking the 7970's which brings me to the 7950's which i thing are easier to find unlock, are cheaper and OC like crazy.

The new Need for Speed Most Wanted itself had trouble on single GPUs since launch. It's been fixed a month or so back, so let's be thankful single GPU usage has topped out now rather than remain at 40-60% or so with FPS fluctuating between 27 and 60.

True, i feel like 1 gtx670 is good enough, but i want to be future proof so im going with 2 of them.

So far my 670 is amazing, i get same if not better fps then my evga gtx680 with a fx-8320 cpu.

I'm not so concerned about the 2gb vram, i can live without AA.

If your on a budget two 670gtx or 2 two ati 7970 is the best value you right now.

If not 2 Titans or even 1 will be the best forsure :)

x2 custom GTX 670s has been a really powerful setup for me but I have had scaling woes with playing games on launch day/week and I have run out of Vram at 1440p so right now I like the look of the Titan, even at £800+ imagine SLi'ing 2 of them!

My cards are good clockers though I may need to RMA one of them,(doesnt seem to want to go over 80% power usage anymore :/) so I'm undecided what I might do. If Asus send me a replacement I might sell that along with my 100% working card and invest in a Titan, if they send my old card back then I'll sell it as is for less and get another 670,

either way I'm likely to be forking out about 100 notes in the coming weeks

Same here as most of you. Currently listed my Palit 680 JS for sale and I will go for two 670's or 7970's/7950's. I beats my current performance obviously by looooong. And a new CPU of course. :p

It's kinda weird tho. Titan release is making almost everyone wanna go SLI/CFX if you think about it. :D

It's been 9-10months since the release of the GTX 680 and we are already calling it "not enough"! ;)

I've had my card around 3 - 4 months now, i call it my German Commander, dunno where this 'not enough' idea comes from.
I run crysis 3 to my exact taste with basically no compromises, if you're gonna do anything get x2 670s.
    You know Arma3 has PhysX?

Tbh I didn't but then again I never played any Arma games although I know they are AMAZING. Why I don't play them is because I will get too sucked into it and so if I manage to keep away I wont. :p

As for PhysX I couldn't care less. I care for smooth gameplay and high framerate with as much less problems as possible. :D

Also on the 670's I would love to have two 1300Mhz 670's 2GB/4GB. But AMD in never ruled out. I'm seen pretty good results from some 7970/7950 CF lately.

Well Linus today actually published the first benchmarks of Titan, and all I can say it is not looking good!

Only on par with 660Ti in SLI, that is just...crap really.

    Idk what to say...

As for me right now, I am in a predicament. I purchased an EVGA GTX 690 pretty recently and was awaiting the release of this card. I currently am gaming at 1008p but will probably go multi-monitor pretty soon. So for $1000~ pricepoint what would be my best bet right now. I can return my 690 and get 2x 680s if that would be the best performance vs 690 and the Titan. What do you guys think?

Titan VS GTX 690 vs GTX 680 SLi (All around same price)

Seams to me the GTX 680 SLi seems to be the best performance but still dealing with SLi issues. For instance two GTX 680 Lightnings in SLi > both. OR I can keep the GTX 690, but I am almost up on my 30 days to return/exchange.

What do you guys think? I was going to post another thread but this one was VERY relevant to it. Thanks for posting it.

Basically my EVGA GTX 690 (OCed) will beat 1 Titan, and Dual 690's will be 2 Titans, so basically I am fine?
